اتهمت الشرطة البريطانية، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، رجلين ينتميان إلى حزب الله بارتكاب جرائم إرهابية في إطار تحقيق استباقي أجرته شرطة مكافحة الإرهاب في لندن.
ويواجه أنيس مكي، البالغ من العمر 40 عاماً، تهمة حضور معسكر تدريب إرهابي في قاعدة بركة جبور الجوية في لبنان عام 2021، والمشاركة في التحضير لأعمال إرهابية، والانتماء إلى حزب الله، والتعبير عن دعمه لكل من حزب الله وحركة حماس المحظورة، كما يُتهم محمد هادي، البالغ من العمر 33 عاماً، بالانتماء إلى حزب الله وحضور معسكر تدريب في بفلية جنوب لبنان عام 2015، وفي قاعدة بركة جبور الجوية عام 2021.
واعلن رئيس وحدة مكافحة الإرهاب في لندن القائد دومينيك مورفي، أن هذه الاعتقالات والاتهامات في أعقاب تحقيق دقيق أجراه محققو وحدة مكافحة الإرهاب في لندن، بالتعاون الوثيق مع عدد من زملائهم في أجهزة إنفاذ القانون في الخارج، موضحاً أنه لا يرى تهديداً مستمراً للجمهور نتيجة لأنشطة هذين الشخصين.
ومن المقرر مثول الرجلين أمام محكمة وستمنستر الجزئية في وقت لاحق من اليوم.
ودانت النيابة العامة الملكية بست تهم بموجب قانون مكافحة الإرهاب لعام 2006 لمكي، وثلاث تهم لكاسير.
وألقى المحققون القبض على الرجلين في إبريل الماضي في منزليهما، ثم أُفرج عنهما بكفالة، وأُعيد اعتقالهما في 10 ديسمبر، ووُضعا رهن الاحتجاز قبل توجيه تهم الإرهاب إليهما.
The British police charged two men belonging to Hezbollah today (Tuesday) with committing terrorist offenses as part of a preemptive investigation conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Police in London.
Forty-year-old Anis Maki faces charges of attending a terrorist training camp at the Barka Jbour Air Base in Lebanon in 2021, participating in preparations for terrorist acts, belonging to Hezbollah, and expressing support for both Hezbollah and the banned Hamas movement. Thirty-three-year-old Mohammed Hadi is also accused of belonging to Hezbollah and attending a training camp in Bafliyeh, southern Lebanon, in 2015, and at the Barka Jbour Air Base in 2021.
Dominic Murphy, head of the Counter-Terrorism Unit in London, announced that these arrests and charges followed a thorough investigation conducted by investigators from the Counter-Terrorism Unit in London, in close cooperation with several colleagues in law enforcement agencies abroad, clarifying that he does not see a continuing threat to the public as a result of the activities of these two individuals.
The two men are scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court later today.
The Crown Prosecution Service has brought six charges against Maki under the Terrorism Act 2006, and three charges against Kaseer.
The investigators arrested the two men in April at their homes, then released them on bail, and re-arrested them on December 10, placing them in custody before terrorism charges were brought against them.
