كشف المتحدث الرسمي باسم المركز الوطني للأرصاد حسين القحطاني أن الحالة المطرية التي شهدتها الرياض أمس (الإثنين) كانت في مجملها أمطارًا ديمية، تخللتها هطولات متوسطة إلى غزيرة على بعض الأحياء، مع تساقط لحبات البرد خلال الفترة المسائية.
وأضاف القحطاني عبر حسابه على موقع X: «من المؤسف أن بعض المقاطع المتداولة في وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي حول غرق بعض المواقع غير صحيحة ولا تعكس حقيقة الحالة المطرية، ونؤكد أهمية الاعتماد على المصادر الرسمية الموثوقة».
وقال القحطاني: سُجِّلت أعلى كمية هطول بالعاصمة 12 ملم، فيما بلغت على مستوى المنطقة 24 ملم في محمية الملك خالد، وفقًا لمحطات المركز.
The official spokesperson for the National Center of Meteorology, Hussein Al-Qahtani, revealed that the rainfall experienced in Riyadh yesterday (Monday) was predominantly drizzling rain, interspersed with moderate to heavy showers in some neighborhoods, along with hailstones falling during the evening period.
Al-Qahtani added via his account on X: "It is unfortunate that some clips circulating on social media about the flooding in certain areas are incorrect and do not reflect the reality of the rainfall situation. We emphasize the importance of relying on trusted official sources."
Al-Qahtani stated: The highest recorded rainfall in the capital was 12 mm, while it reached 24 mm in the King Khalid Reserve, according to the center's stations.
