فيما تشهد الدوحة اجتماعاً دولياً لبحث تشكيل «قوة الاستقرار» الدولية في قطاع غزة، يشهد القطاع كارثة جديدة جراء استمرار الأمطار وسوء الأحوال الجوية.
وأعلنت وزارة الصحة الفلسطينية في غزة، وفاة طفل رضيع نتيجة انخفاض حاد في درجة حرارة الجسم بسبب البرد الشديد في ظل ظروف قاسية يعيشها الأهالي جراء المنخفض الجوي.

وقالت الصحة، في بيان اليوم (الثلاثاء)، إنَّ الطفل الرضيع وعمره أسبوعان، توفي نتيجة انخفاض حاد في درجة حرارة الجسم بسبب البرد الشديد، موضحة أن الطفل أبو الخير وصل إلى المستشفى قبل يومين وأُدخل العناية المركزة، إلا أنه فارق الحياة أمس.
وأدت الأمطار الغزيرة إلى غرق عدد كبير من خيام النازحين في مناطق متفرقة من قطاع غزة، خصوصاً في المناطق المنخفضة، ما فاقم معاناة آلاف العائلات التي تعيش أوضاعاً إنسانية بالغة الصعوبة في ظل الظروف الجوية القاسية واستمرار تداعيات العدوان.
انتشار الأمراض بالمخيمات
وحذر المدير العام لوزارة الصحة منير البرش من وفاة أطفال وكبار سن ومرضى جراء انخفاض درجات الحرارة داخل خيام النازحين التي غمرتها الأمطار، موضحاً أن الرطوبة والمياه داخل الخيام تهيئ بيئة لانتشار أمراض الجهاز التنفسي بصفوف النازحين فيما يعجز المرضى عن الحصول على أية رعاية صحية.

The Ministry of Health stated in a statement today (Tuesday) that the infant, who was two weeks old, died due to a severe drop in body temperature caused by the extreme cold, explaining that the child, Abu Al-Khair, arrived at the hospital two days ago and was admitted to intensive care, but he passed away yesterday.
Heavy rains have led to the flooding of a large number of tents belonging to displaced people in various areas of Gaza, especially in low-lying areas, exacerbating the suffering of thousands of families living in extremely difficult humanitarian conditions amid the harsh weather and the ongoing repercussions of the aggression.
Spread of Diseases in the Camps
The Director General of the Ministry of Health, Munir Al-Barsh, warned of the risk of death among children, the elderly, and patients due to the drop in temperatures inside the tents of displaced persons that have been flooded by rain, explaining that the humidity and water inside the tents create an environment for the spread of respiratory diseases among the displaced, while patients are unable to receive any healthcare.
