في استجابة إنسانية وتنموية سريعة تعكس الدور الريادي للمملكة العربية السعودية في إسناد القطاعات الحيوية باليمن؛ أعلنت إدارة المعهد الفني في أرخبيل سقطرى، استئناف العملية الدراسية بدءاً من غد (الإثنين)، بتوجيهات من السلطة المحلية بالمحافظة، وبدعم مباشر وسخي من البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن، بعد توقف قسري دام قرابة شهر نتيجة الظروف التي مر بها الأرخبيل.
تدخل حاسم لمملكة الحزم
ثمّن نائب العميد لشؤون الطلاب بالمعهد الفني بأرخبيل سقطرى، عبدالله يحيى الدرمهي، في تصريح خاص لـ«عكاظ»، الدعم السعودي السخي والمتواصل للقطاعات الخدمية والتنموية في الأرخبيل، مؤكداً أن هذا الدعم هو «النبض» الذي أعاد الحياة للمؤسسات التعليمية في المحافظة.

وقال الدرمهي: مر المعهد بمرحلة حرجة في الآونة الأخيرة أدت إلى توقف الدعم تماماً، ما اضطر الإدارة للإغلاق وتعليق الدراسة لثلاثة أسابيع، إلا أن «مملكة الحزم» عبر ذراعها التنموية «البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن» تدخلت في التوقيت الحاسم وتكفلت بدعم المعهد وإعادة فتحه، لتبث فيه روح التعليم من جديد وسط فرحة عارمة من الطلاب ومنتسبي المعهد.
منجزات تعليمية ودعم سعودي
واستعرض الدرمهي، مسيرة المعهد التي قال إنها «كانت مهددة بالانقطاع لولا التدخل السعودي»، موضحاً أن المعهد الذي تأسس في مارس 2022، يضم 7 أقسام دراسية نوعية، وقد نجح حتى اللحظة في تخريج أكثر من 60 طالباً وطالبة، مؤهلين بشهادات الدبلوم المهني والتقني في تخصصات دقيقة يحتاجها سوق العمل في الأرخبيل.
واختتم نائب العميد تصريحه بالتأكيد على أن استمرار العملية التعليمية في المعهد يمثل ثمرة من ثمار جهود المملكة المستمرة في تنمية سقطرى وإسناد أبنائها، مشيداً بالبصمات التنموية للبرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن التي شملت كافة مناحي الحياة في المحافظة.

وتأتي هذه الخطوة امتداداً لسلسلة من التدخلات التنموية الحيوية التي يقودها البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن، بمتابعة حثيثة وإشراف مباشر من المشرف العام على البرنامج، السفير محمد بن سعيد آل جابر.
ونجحت المشاريع السعودية في إحداث نقلة نوعية في أرخبيل سقطرى شملت قطاعات التعليم، والصحة، والمياه، والطاقة، والنقل.
وتجسد هذه الجهود المستمرة التزام المملكة الراسخ بدعم استقرار اليمن، ودفع عجلة التنمية المستدامة، وتحسين سبل العيش لليمنيّين، عبر مشاريع إستراتيجية تلامس احتياجات المواطن اليمني وتؤسس لمستقبل واعد ومزدهر في المحافظات اليمنية كافة.
In a rapid humanitarian and developmental response that reflects the leading role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting vital sectors in Yemen; the administration of the Technical Institute in the Socotra Archipelago announced the resumption of the academic process starting tomorrow (Monday), following directives from the local authority in the governorate, and with direct and generous support from the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, after a forced halt that lasted nearly a month due to the circumstances faced by the archipelago.
A decisive intervention from the Kingdom of Resolve
The Deputy Dean for Student Affairs at the Technical Institute in the Socotra Archipelago, Abdullah Yahya Al-Durmhi, praised in a special statement to "Okaz," the generous and continuous Saudi support for the service and developmental sectors in the archipelago, affirming that this support is the "pulse" that revived life in the educational institutions of the governorate.

Al-Durmhi stated: The institute went through a critical phase recently that led to a complete halt of support, forcing the administration to close and suspend studies for three weeks. However, the "Kingdom of Resolve," through its developmental arm, the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, intervened at the crucial moment and took responsibility for supporting the institute and reopening it, bringing the spirit of education back to life amidst overwhelming joy from the students and staff of the institute.
Educational achievements and Saudi support
Al-Durmhi reviewed the journey of the institute, which he said was "threatened with interruption were it not for the Saudi intervention," explaining that the institute, which was established in March 2022, includes 7 specialized academic departments, and has successfully graduated more than 60 male and female students so far, qualified with professional and technical diplomas in specialized fields needed by the job market in the archipelago.
The Deputy Dean concluded his statement by emphasizing that the continuation of the educational process at the institute represents a fruit of the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to develop Socotra and support its people, praising the developmental impacts of the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, which have encompassed all aspects of life in the governorate.
Comprehensive development and lasting impacts
This step comes as an extension of a series of vital developmental interventions led by the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, with close follow-up and direct supervision from the General Supervisor of the program, Ambassador Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Jaber.
Saudi projects have succeeded in making a qualitative leap in the Socotra Archipelago, covering the sectors of education, health, water, energy, and transportation.
