أعلنت الوكالة الدولية لغوث وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين «الأونروا»، أن نحو 48% من إجمالي مباني مخيم نور شمس في الضفة الغربية المحتلة، تضررت أو دمرت، مؤكدة أن القوات الإسرائيلية تدمر المنازل بهدف فرض سيطرة طويلة الأمد.
وقال مدير شؤون وكالة «الأونروا» في الضفة الغربية رولاند فريدريك: إن المزيد من الأخبار الصادمة تتوالى من شمال الضفة، بعد صدور أمر هدم جديد يستهدف مخيم «نور شمس».
وأضاف أن الأمر الجديد يضع نحو 25 مبنى في المخيم تحت خطر الهدم الوشيك اعتبارا من 18 ديسمبر الجاري، ما سيؤثر على مئات اللاجئين الفلسطينيين الذين سبق أن تعرضوا للنزوح القسري.
ولفت فريدريك إلى أن عمليات الهدم هذه تبرّر بذريعة ما يسمى «الضرورة العسكرية»، مؤكدا أنها لا تسهم في جعل أي شخص أكثر أمانا.
وشدد المسؤول الأممي على ضرورة ألا يتحول النزوح القسري لأكثر من 32 ألف لاجئ فلسطيني في شمال الضفة الغربية إلى وضع دائم، لافتا إلى أن السكان ينتظرون منذ 11 شهرا للعودة إلى منازلهم، لكن هذا الأمل يتلاشى مع كل ضربة من جرافات الهدم.
يذكر أن القوات الإسرائيلية كثفت اعتداءاتها على الفلسطينيين في الضفة الغربية المحتلة، بما فيها القدس، منذ بدء حرب الإبادة في غزة، ما أسفر حتى الآن عن مقتل ألف و85 فلسطينيا، وإصابة أكثر من 10 آلاف آخرين، إلى جانب اعتقال أكثر من 20 ألف فلسطيني، بينهم 1600 طفل، وفق المصادر الفلسطينية.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) announced that approximately 48% of the total buildings in the Nur Shams camp in the occupied West Bank have been damaged or destroyed, confirming that Israeli forces are destroying homes to impose long-term control.
UNRWA's Director of Operations in the West Bank, Roland Frederick, stated that more shocking news is coming from northern West Bank, following the issuance of a new demolition order targeting the "Nur Shams" camp.
He added that the new order places around 25 buildings in the camp at imminent risk of demolition starting from December 18, which will affect hundreds of Palestinian refugees who have already faced forced displacement.
Frederick pointed out that these demolition operations are justified under the pretext of so-called "military necessity," emphasizing that they do not contribute to making anyone safer.
The UN official stressed the need to ensure that the forced displacement of more than 32,000 Palestinian refugees in northern West Bank does not become a permanent situation, noting that residents have been waiting for 11 months to return to their homes, but this hope fades with every strike from the demolition bulldozers.
It is worth mentioning that Israeli forces have intensified their assaults on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, since the onset of the genocide in Gaza, resulting so far in the deaths of 1,085 Palestinians and injuries to more than 10,000 others, in addition to the arrest of over 20,000 Palestinians, including 1,600 children, according to Palestinian sources.
