تعهد رئيس الوزراء العراقي محمد شياع السوداني، بوضع جميع الأسلحة تحت سيطرة الدولة، بعد انسحاب قوات التحالف الدولي بقيادة الولايات المتحدة.
وتحدث عن وجود خطة مستمرة لخروج التحالف الدولي المناهض لتنظيم داعش من العراق، بحلول سبتمبر 2026، نظراً لتراجع حدة تهديد الجماعات المتطرفة بشكل كبير.
وأكد في مقابلة مع«رويترز» في بغداد، أن تنظيم داعش غير موجود، والأمن والاستقرار متوفران. وقال: أعطني عذراً واحداً لوجود 86 دولة في تحالف، في إشارة إلى عدد الدول التي شاركت في التحالف منذ تأسيسه في 2014.
وأضاف أنه سيكون هناك برنامج واضح لإنهاء أي سلاح خارج مؤسسات الدولة، هذا هو مطلب الجميع، لافتا إلى إمكانية دمج الفصائل ضمن قوات الأمن الرسمية أو في المشهد السياسي بعد التخلي عن سلاحها.
وأكد السوداني أن موقف العراق واضح في الحفاظ على الأمن والاستقرار، وأن مؤسسات الدولة هي من تمتلك قرار الحرب والسلام، ولا يمكن لأي طرف أن يجر العراق إلى حرب أو صراع.
واتفقت الولايات المتحدة والعراق على انسحاب مرحلي للقوات الأمريكية، مع توقع الانسحاب الكامل بنهاية العام القادم.
ويسعى العراق إلى إيجاد سبيل لإنجاز مهمة حساسة وهي نزع سلاح الفصائل المسلحة، في ظل ضغوط أمريكية بتفكيك جماعات مسلحة مرتبطة بالحشد الشعبي.
The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani, pledged to place all weapons under the control of the state, following the withdrawal of the international coalition led by the United States.
He spoke about an ongoing plan for the withdrawal of the international coalition against ISIS from Iraq by September 2026, due to the significant decrease in the threat posed by extremist groups.
In an interview with "Reuters" in Baghdad, he stated that ISIS is not present, and security and stability are available. He said: "Give me one excuse for the presence of 86 countries in the coalition," referring to the number of countries that have participated in the coalition since its establishment in 2014.
He added that there will be a clear program to end any weapons outside the state's institutions, which is the demand of everyone, noting the possibility of integrating factions into the official security forces or the political scene after they relinquish their weapons.
Al-Sudani affirmed that Iraq's position is clear in maintaining security and stability, and that state institutions are the ones that hold the decision of war and peace, and no party can drag Iraq into war or conflict.
The United States and Iraq agreed on a phased withdrawal of American forces, with a complete withdrawal expected by the end of next year.
Iraq is seeking to find a way to accomplish the sensitive task of disarming armed factions, amid American pressures to dismantle armed groups linked to the Popular Mobilization Forces.
