شهدت مدينة النبطية جنوبي لبنان اليوم (الأحد) تصعيداً عسكرياً جديداً بعد سلسلة غارات إسرائيلية استهدفت منطقة كفر رمان، ما أسفر عن سقوط قتلى وجرحى، وفق ما أفادت به تقارير إعلامية لبنانية.
وأكدت وزارة الصحة اللبنانية أن القصف الإسرائيلي أدى إلى مقتل أربعة شبان وإصابة ثلاثة آخرين، بعدما استهدفت طائرة مسيّرة سيارتهم على طريق دوحة كفر رمان، في واحدة من أكثر الضربات دموية منذ أشهر.
وأفادت الوكالة الوطنية للإعلام بأن المدينة كانت تستعد ظهر اليوم لتشييع أحد الضحايا حين تجددت المخاوف من غارات إضافية، بينما تحدث شهود عن تحليق مكثف للطيران الإسرائيلي في أجواء الجنوب.
وفي تل أبيب، صرّح رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو بأن بلاده «ستواصل ممارسة حقها في الدفاع عن النفس ضد حزب الله»، محذراً من أن الجيش سيتصرف عند الضرورة إذا لم تتخذ بيروت إجراءات واضحة لمنع الهجمات على الشمال الإسرائيلي.
من جانبها، نقلت وكالة الأنباء الفرنسية عن مصادر أمنية قولها إن نتنياهو شدد خلال اجتماع لمجلس الوزراء على «ضرورة حماية الحدود الشمالية»، ملوحاً بخطوات أوسع في حال استمرار «التهديدات المسلحة من لبنان».
وتأتي هذه التطورات بعد عام تقريباً من الاتفاق الذي رعته الأمم المتحدة بين الجانبين لوقف إطلاق النار، والذي بدأ يترنح مع اشتداد الحرب في غزة منذ أكتوبر الماضي. وعلى الرغم من الوساطة الأمريكية المستمرة، فإن تبادل القصف عبر الحدود الجنوبية للبنان لا يزال متقطعاً لكنه متزايد الحدة.
وفي السياق ذاته، أعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي أن الغارات استهدفت «عناصر من حزب الله شاركوا في هجمات سابقة»، فيما أكّد وزير الدفاع يوآف غالانت أن «إسرائيل لن تتهاون في ردها على أي تهديد لأمن مواطنيها».
أما الحكومة اللبنانية، فأكدت في بيان مقتضب أنها تتابع التطورات «بأعلى درجات التنسيق مع قيادة الجيش»، معربة عن رفضها «تحويل الأراضي اللبنانية إلى ساحة مواجهة مفتوحة»، ودعت إلى تحرك دولي عاجل لوقف التصعيد.
The city of Nabatieh in southern Lebanon witnessed a new military escalation today (Sunday) following a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting the Kfar Rumman area, resulting in casualties, according to Lebanese media reports.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed that the Israeli bombardment led to the death of four young men and injured three others after a drone targeted their vehicle on the Kfar Rumman road, in one of the deadliest strikes in months.
The National News Agency reported that the city was preparing this afternoon to bury one of the victims when fears of additional airstrikes resurfaced, while witnesses spoke of intensive Israeli aircraft flying over the southern skies.
In Tel Aviv, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that his country "will continue to exercise its right to defend itself against Hezbollah," warning that the army would act when necessary if Beirut does not take clear measures to prevent attacks on northern Israel.
For its part, the French news agency quoted security sources as saying that Netanyahu emphasized during a cabinet meeting the "necessity of protecting the northern borders," hinting at broader steps if "armed threats from Lebanon" continue.
These developments come nearly a year after the United Nations-brokered agreement between the two sides to cease fire, which began to falter as the war in Gaza intensified since last October. Despite ongoing American mediation, the exchange of fire across the southern Lebanese border remains sporadic but increasingly intense.
In this context, the Israeli army announced that the airstrikes targeted "elements of Hezbollah who participated in previous attacks," while Defense Minister Yoav Gallant confirmed that "Israel will not hesitate to respond to any threat to the security of its citizens."
Meanwhile, the Lebanese government stated in a brief statement that it is monitoring developments "with the highest level of coordination with the army leadership," expressing its rejection of "turning Lebanese territory into an open confrontation arena," and calling for urgent international action to stop the escalation.
