أفصح وزير الدفاع الباكستاني خواجة آصف، أن إسلام أباد تمتلك أدلة على تورط الحكومة الأفغانية مع حركة «طالبان باكستان» التي تتخذ من أفغانستان ملاذاً لها.
واستبعد اندلاع حرب شاملة مع أفغانستان، كاشفاً أن وفد بلاده طالب خلال المفاوضات بضمانات من طالبان للحفاظ على وقف إطلاق النار بين البلدين.
طالبان أفشلت المحادثات
وقال آصف في مقابلة خاصة مع «العربية إنجليزي»: تصدينا للإرهاب العابر للحدود في أفغانستان، ونشهد وجود العديد من التنظيمات الإرهابية على الأراضي الأفغانية.
واتهم طالبان بإفشال المحادثات، مؤكداً أنه في حال تعاونت أفغانستان مع الهند، التي خسرت 7 طائرات مقاتلة في المواجهات العسكرية الأخيرة مع باكستان، فإننا سنرد عليهم. وشدد على أن السلاح النووي الباكستاني دفاعي، ولا تسعى بلاده للهيمنة بقدراتها النووية.
وأفاد وزير الدفاع بأن باكستان تسعى لإعادة الحياة الطبيعية إلى غزة، وتدعم نزع سلاح حركة حماس، مع التأكيد على ضرورة تلبية مطالب الفلسطينيين، واصفاً وقف إطلاق النار في غزة بأنه «هش» وينطوي على مخاطر.
محو طالبان أفغانستان
وكان خواجة آصف، هدد الأربعاء، بمحو حركة طالبان أفغانستان، عقب إعلان وزير الإعلام فشل محادثات إسطنبول بين إسلام آباد وكابول.
وكتب آصف عبر حسابه على «إكس»: «لا تحتاج باكستان لاستخدام ولو جزء بسيط من ترسانتها الكاملة للقضاء على نظام طالبان بالكامل ودفع أفراده للاختباء في الكهوف».
اتخاذ التدابير اللازمة
وفي وقت سابق، ذكر وزير الإعلام الباكستاني عطا الله ترار، أن المحادثات التي تهدف إلى هدنة طويلة الأمد بين أفغانستان وباكستان اختتمت في إسطنبول دون التوصل إلى حل عملي. وأوضح أن الجانب الأفغاني استمر في الانحراف عن القضية الأساسية، متملصاً من النقطة الرئيسية التي انطلقت على أساسها عملية الحوار.
وأضاف: بدلاً من قبول أي مسؤولية، لجأت حركة طالبان الأفغانية إلى لعبة إلقاء اللوم والتهرب والحيل، وبالتالي، فشل الحوار في التوصل إلى أي حل عملي.
وكتب على حسابه في «إكس»: «سنواصل اتخاذ كل التدابير اللازمة لحماية شعبنا من التهديد الإرهابي، متوعداً بالقضاء على من وصفهم بـ«الإرهابيين» ومخابئهم وشركائهم وداعميهم».
The Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif revealed that Islamabad possesses evidence of the Afghan government's involvement with the "Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan," which takes refuge in Afghanistan.
He ruled out the outbreak of a full-scale war with Afghanistan, revealing that his country's delegation demanded guarantees from the Taliban to maintain a ceasefire between the two countries during negotiations.
The Taliban Failed the Talks
Asif stated in a special interview with "Al Arabiya English": "We are confronting cross-border terrorism in Afghanistan, and we are witnessing the presence of many terrorist organizations on Afghan soil."
He accused the Taliban of failing the talks, emphasizing that if Afghanistan cooperates with India, which lost 7 fighter jets in recent military confrontations with Pakistan, then we will respond to them. He stressed that Pakistan's nuclear weapon is defensive and that his country does not seek to dominate with its nuclear capabilities.
The Defense Minister reported that Pakistan seeks to restore normal life in Gaza and supports the disarmament of Hamas, while emphasizing the need to meet the demands of the Palestinians, describing the ceasefire in Gaza as "fragile" and fraught with risks.
Eradication of the Taliban in Afghanistan
Khawaja Asif threatened on Wednesday to eradicate the Taliban in Afghanistan, following the announcement by the Information Minister of the failure of the Istanbul talks between Islamabad and Kabul.
Asif wrote on his account on "X": "Pakistan does not need to use even a small part of its entire arsenal to completely eliminate the Taliban regime and force its members to hide in caves."
Taking Necessary Measures
Earlier, Pakistani Information Minister Attaullah Tarar mentioned that the talks aimed at a long-term ceasefire between Afghanistan and Pakistan concluded in Istanbul without reaching a practical solution. He explained that the Afghan side continued to deviate from the core issue, evading the main point on which the dialogue process was based.
He added: "Instead of accepting any responsibility, the Afghan Taliban resorted to the game of blame-shifting and evasion, and thus, the dialogue failed to reach any practical solution."
He wrote on his account on "X": "We will continue to take all necessary measures to protect our people from the terrorist threat, pledging to eliminate those he described as 'terrorists' and their hideouts, partners, and supporters."
