طلبت إيران اليوم (الثلاثاء) من رجل أعمال إسرائيلي دفع غرامة قدرها 170 مليون دولار لإطلاق سفينة الشحن التابعة له التي اعترضتها في أبريل 2024، متهمة إياه بـ«تمويل الإرهاب».
وقال المتحدث باسم السلطة القضائية الإيرانية، أصغر جهانغير، إن قضية السفينة التي اعترضها الحرس الإيراني في أبريل 2024، أحيلت إلى المحكمة مع لائحة اتهام وطلب غرامة قدرها 170 مليون دولار لمالكها الإسرائيلي إيال عوفر، موضحاً أن السفينة، المسجلة في البرتغال وترفع علم إحدى الجزر، دخلت المياه الإقليمية الإيرانية العام الماضي، واحتجزتها القوة البحرية التابعة للحرس الثوري في مضيق هرمز، بسبب انتهاكها الأنظمة الدولية وعدم استجابتها للجهات المختصة.
ونقلت وكالة الأنباء الإيرانية الرسمية «إيرنا» عن جهانغير قوله: إنه بناء على قانون المناطق البحرية الإيراني فإن هذه السفينة تنتهك مبادئ الأمن والهدوء في البلاد والمنطقة، موضحاً أن الجهاز القضائي يحقق في هذه القضية.
ويبلغ عوفر من العمر 75 سنة، وصنفته مجلة «فوربس»، في وقت سابق من هذا العام كأغنى إسرائيلي بثروة قدرها 28.2 مليار دولار، واعترضت سفينته سفينة «إم إس سي أريس» في أبريل 2024، واحتجز طاقمها الدولي المكون من 25 شخصاً، وتم الإفراج عنهم لاحقاً.
Iran today (Tuesday) requested that an Israeli businessman pay a fine of $170 million for the release of his cargo ship that was seized in April 2024, accusing him of "financing terrorism."
The spokesperson for the Iranian judiciary, Asghar Jahangir, stated that the case of the ship, which was intercepted by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in April 2024, has been referred to court with an indictment and a request for a fine of $170 million for its Israeli owner Eyal Ofer. He explained that the ship, registered in Portugal and flying the flag of one of the islands, entered Iranian territorial waters last year and was detained by the naval force of the Revolutionary Guard in the Strait of Hormuz due to violations of international regulations and failure to respond to the relevant authorities.
The official Iranian news agency "IRNA" quoted Jahangir as saying that based on Iranian maritime law, this ship violates the principles of security and tranquility in the country and the region, adding that the judiciary is investigating this case.
Ofer is 75 years old and was ranked by Forbes magazine earlier this year as the richest Israeli with a fortune of $28.2 billion. His ship, the "MSC Aris," was intercepted in April 2024, and its international crew of 25 people was detained but later released.
