تتجه الأنظار غداً (الإثنين)، إلى العاصمة اللبنانية بيروت التي تستعد لاستقبال الموفدة الأمريكية مورغن أورتاغوس في زيارة تمتد حتى يوم الأربعاء القادم، على وقع تصاعد التوترات الميدانية في جنوب البلاد وتزايد التحذيرات من احتمال انزلاق الأوضاع نحو مواجهة جديدة.
الزيارة تأتي بعد محادثات أجرتها أورتاغوس، اليوم (الأحد)، في إسرائيل، تناولت الوضع على الحدود اللبنانية-الإسرائيلية وسبل تثبيت وقف إطلاق الحرب، في إطار تحرك دبلوماسي أوسع تقوده واشنطن لاحتواء التصعيد في المنطقة.
وبحسب المعلومات، فإن جدول أعمال أورتاغوس في بيروت سيشمل لقاءات مع رؤساء الجمهورية والحكومة والبرلمان، إلى جانب مشاركتها في اجتماع لجنة «الميكانيزم» المقرر انعقادها الأربعاء، لمتابعة مسار تنفيذ التفاهمات ووقف الخروقات الميدانية.
وتشير المعلومات إلى أن أورتاغوس ستحمل معها مقترحات أمريكية لتفعيل التنسيق بين الجيش اللبناني والقوات الدولية العاملة في الجنوب «اليونيفيل»، وتعزيز دور الآلية الدولية في مراقبة الوضع على الخط الأزرق.
فهل تحاول واشنطن عبر أورتاغوس إعادة الإمساك بخيوط الملف اللبناني-الإسرائيلي في لحظة دقيقة، خصوصاً بعد أن تراجعت فاعلية الوساطات السابقة وتزايدت الهواجس من انفلات الميدان؟
في سياق متصل، أفادت المعلومات بأن موفداً مصرياً أمنياً رفيع المستوى سيصل إلى لبنان حاملاً رسالة إلى الرؤساء الثلاثة تقول إن «الوضع أصبح في غاية الخطورة».

All eyes are on the Lebanese capital, Beirut, tomorrow (Monday), as it prepares to welcome the American envoy, Morgan Ortagus, for a visit that will last until Wednesday, amidst escalating field tensions in the south of the country and increasing warnings of the possibility of slipping into a new confrontation.
The visit comes after Ortagus held talks today (Sunday) in Israel, discussing the situation on the Lebanese-Israeli border and ways to solidify the ceasefire, as part of a broader diplomatic effort led by Washington to contain the escalation in the region.
According to information, Ortagus's agenda in Beirut will include meetings with the presidents of the republic, government, and parliament, in addition to her participation in a meeting of the "mechanism" committee scheduled for Wednesday, to follow up on the implementation of agreements and halt field violations.
Information indicates that Ortagus will bring with her American proposals to activate coordination between the Lebanese army and the international forces operating in the south, "UNIFIL," and to enhance the role of the international mechanism in monitoring the situation along the blue line.
Is Washington, through Ortagus, attempting to regain control over the Lebanese-Israeli file at a critical moment, especially after the effectiveness of previous mediations has diminished and concerns have increased about the situation spiraling out of control?
In a related context, information has reported that a high-level Egyptian security envoy will arrive in Lebanon carrying a message to the three presidents stating that "the situation has become extremely dangerous."
