أجرت روسيا، اليوم (الأربعاء)، تدريباً كبيراً شمل أسلحة نووية، بعد يوم من إعلان الولايات المتحدة تأجيل خطط عقد قمة ثانية بين الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين ونظيره الأمريكي دونالد ترمب حول حرب أوكرانيا.
واستعرض الكرملين مقطعاً مصوراً ظهر فيه رئيس هيئة الأركان العامة للقوات المسلحة الروسية الجنرال فاليري جيراسيموف، وهو يطلع بوتين على مستجدات التدريبات، مؤكداً أن روسيا أطلقت صواريخ من منصات إطلاق أرضية، وغواصات، وطائرات، منها أسلحة بالستية عابرة للقارات.
مناورات عسكرية
وقال «الكرملين» في بيان: «اختبرت المناورات مستوى استعداد القيادة العسكرية والمهارات العملية لأفراد العمليات في تنظيم السيطرة على القوات التابعة لها»، مضيفاً: «تم الانتهاء من جميع المهمات التدريبية».
ونقلت وكالة أنباء «ريا نوفوستي» الروسية عن وزارة الدفاع قولها: إن قاذفات روسية بعيدة المدى من طراز Tu-22M3 نفذت رحلة مقررة فوق المياه المحايدة في بحر البلطيق، مبينة أن القاذفات رافقتها طائرات مقاتلة من دول أجنبية في مراحل مختلفة من المهمة.
وتجري روسيا مناورات بشكل دوري لقواتها النووية لاختبارها وتذكير خصومها بأنها تمتلك أكبر ترسانة نووية في العالم، في فترة تشهد توتراً متصاعداً بين الشرق والغرب.
بالمقابل قالت السويد إنها وقعت خطاب نوايا لتصدير طائرات مقاتلة من طراز «جريبن» إلى أوكرانيا، فيما تتحرك الحكومات الأوروبية لتعزيز دفاعات كييف في الحرب الدائرة منذ 3 أعوام و8 أشهر.
أزمة سياسية بين موسكو وأوروبا
وبدأ حلف شمال الأطلسي (الناتو) مناوراته النووية السنوية في وقت سابق من الشهر الجاري، بمشاركة نحو 60 طائرة من 13 دولة، من بينها مقاتلات من طراز «إف-35 إيه» وقاذفات «بي-52»، ضمن تدريبات «ستيدفاست نون» التي تستضيفها بلجيكا وهولندا.
وأثارت التصريحات المتبادلة بين موسكو ووارسو بخصوص تداعيات تحليق طائرة الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين فوق الأجواء البولندية، جدلاً واسعاً على المنصات، إذ يحفّ الرحلة خطر تسليم بوتين للمحكمة الجنائية الدولية.
ومن المقرر أن يقوم بوتين برحلة إلى المجر في إطار قمة إقليمية مقررة في بودابست تبحث ملفات الطاقة والعلاقات الاقتصادية بين موسكو وأوروبا الوسطى، إضافة إلى جهود وقف الحرب في أوكرانيا.
Russia conducted a large-scale training today (Wednesday) that included nuclear weapons, a day after the United States announced the postponement of plans for a second summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump regarding the war in Ukraine.
The Kremlin showcased a video in which the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, General Valery Gerasimov, briefed Putin on the updates of the exercises, confirming that Russia launched missiles from ground launch platforms, submarines, and aircraft, including intercontinental ballistic missiles.
Military Maneuvers
The Kremlin stated in a statement: “The maneuvers tested the level of readiness of the military leadership and the operational skills of the personnel in organizing control over their forces,” adding: “All training tasks have been completed.”
The Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported that the Ministry of Defense stated that long-range Russian bombers of the Tu-22M3 type carried out a scheduled flight over neutral waters in the Baltic Sea, indicating that the bombers were accompanied by fighter jets from foreign countries at various stages of the mission.
Russia periodically conducts maneuvers for its nuclear forces to test them and remind its adversaries that it possesses the largest nuclear arsenal in the world, during a time of escalating tension between East and West.
In contrast, Sweden announced that it had signed a letter of intent to export Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine, as European governments move to bolster Kyiv's defenses in the ongoing war that has lasted for 3 years and 8 months.
Political Crisis between Moscow and Europe
NATO began its annual nuclear maneuvers earlier this month, involving about 60 aircraft from 13 countries, including F-35A fighters and B-52 bombers, as part of the "Steadfast Noon" exercises hosted by Belgium and the Netherlands.
The exchanged statements between Moscow and Warsaw regarding the implications of Russian President Vladimir Putin's flight over Polish airspace sparked widespread debate on social media, as the flight poses a risk of Putin being handed over to the International Criminal Court.
Putin is scheduled to travel to Hungary for a regional summit in Budapest that will discuss energy issues and economic relations between Moscow and Central Europe, in addition to efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
