أعلنت القوات الأمنية المشتركة في مديرية المضاربة بمحافظة لحج، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، ضبط كمية كبيرة من الحبوب المخدرة على متن شاحنة نقل.
وقالت القوات، في بيان: أن دورية أمنية أوقفت الشاحنة، نوع (دينا)، بعد أن اشتبهت بها في منطقة الحجف، بمديرية رأس العارة الساحلية، لتفتيشها بدقة، وتم العثور على كمية كبيرة من الحبوب المخدرة من نوع (بريجابالين) بتركيز 300 ملغم، موضحة أن الكمية المضبوطة بلغت 144 كرتوناً، تحتوي على 50 بكتاً، في كل كرتون، ويضم كل بكت 150 حبة، ليصل إجمالي المضبوطات إلى 1,080,000 حبة مخدرة، كانت معدّة للترويج بطريقة غير مشروعة، في واحدة من أكبر عمليات الضبط، التي شهدتها المنطقة خلال الفترة الأخيرة.
يقظة أمنية
وأشاد عضو مجلس القيادة الرئاسي عبدالرحمن المحرمي، بيقظة الأجهزة الأمنية العالية في ضبط هذه الكمية الكبيرة من الحبوب المخدرة، مؤكداً ضرورة مضاعفة الجهود، ورفع اليقظة في محاربة جريمة التهريب، وتجفيف منابعها، وحماية السواحل من أنشطة تهريب الممنوعات والمخدرات والأسلحة، التي تقف وراء تهريبها جماعة الحوثي وعصاباتها لتجارة وترويج المخدرات والمؤثرات العقلية.
وكانت القوات الحكومة قد ضبطت سفينة تهريب في شمال بحر العرب محمّلة بكميات كبيرة من المواد المخدرة، في عملية نفذتها، بالتعاون مع سفينة «اليرموك» التابعة للبحرية الباكستانية العاملة ضمن قوة الواجب المشتركة (150) بقيادة البحرية الملكية السعودية.
وذكرت المصلحة، في بيان، أن عملية الرصد والمتابعة انتهت بضبط السفينة التي كانت تحمل نحو 2,056 كيلوغراماً من مادة الأمفيتامين (الشبو)، مشيرة إلى أنه تم التحفظ على طاقمها المكوّن من إيرانيين وباكستانيين لاستكمال التحقيقات والإجراءات القانونية.
ضبط جلبة تهريب
كما ضبطت دورية لخفر السواحل في عملية منفصلة جلبة بحرية كانت تقلّ نحو 4,000 «ميري» من أنواع مختلفة، جرى نقلها إلى ميناء المخا لاستكمال الإجراءات القانونية، قبل تحويلها إلى منطقة الفُجرة لحجزها وفقاً للأنظمة المرعية.
وأكدت مصلحة خفر السواحل استمرار جهودها في تأمين المياه الإقليمية اليمنية ومكافحة التهريب والجريمة المنظمة، متوعدة بالتصدي لأي نشاط غير مشروع يهدد الأمن البحري والإقليمي.
The joint security forces in the Al-Mudharabah district of Lahij governorate announced today (Tuesday) the seizure of a large quantity of narcotic pills on a transport truck.
The forces stated in a statement that a security patrol stopped the truck, a (Dina) type, after suspecting it in the Al-Hajaf area of the coastal Al-Ras Al-Arah district for a thorough inspection. A large quantity of narcotic pills of the type (Pregabalin) with a concentration of 300 mg was found, indicating that the seized quantity amounted to 144 cartons, each containing 50 packets, with each packet containing 150 pills, bringing the total seizures to 1,080,000 narcotic pills, which were intended for illegal promotion, in one of the largest seizure operations witnessed in the area in recent times.
Security Vigilance
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Abdulrahman Al-Mahrami praised the high vigilance of the security agencies in seizing this large quantity of narcotic pills, emphasizing the necessity of doubling efforts and raising alertness in combating smuggling crimes, drying up their sources, and protecting the coasts from the activities of smuggling prohibited substances, drugs, and weapons, which are orchestrated by the Houthi group and its gangs for drug trafficking and promotion.
The government forces had previously seized a smuggling ship in the northern Arabian Sea loaded with large quantities of narcotic substances, in an operation carried out in cooperation with the "Al-Yarmouk" ship of the Pakistani Navy, which operates within the Joint Task Force (150) led by the Royal Saudi Navy.
The agency stated in a statement that the monitoring and follow-up operation ended with the seizure of the ship, which was carrying about 2,056 kilograms of amphetamine (Shabu), noting that its crew, consisting of Iranians and Pakistanis, was detained to complete investigations and legal procedures.
Seizure of Smuggling Craft
A coast guard patrol also seized a maritime craft in a separate operation that was carrying about 4,000 "Miri" of various types, which were transported to the Al-Mokha port to complete legal procedures before being transferred to the Al-Fujrah area for confiscation according to the applicable regulations.
The Coast Guard Authority confirmed its ongoing efforts to secure Yemeni territorial waters and combat smuggling and organized crime, vowing to confront any illegal activity that threatens maritime and regional security.
