أعلن الحاكم العسكري الجديد لمدغشقر الكولونيل مايكل راندريانيرينا، اليوم (الخميس)، أنه سيؤدي اليمين رئيساً للبلاد، غداً (الجمعة)، موضحاً أنه منفتح على إجراء محادثات مع الاتحاد الإفريقي بعد أن علق عضوية بلاده إثر انقلاب أطاح بالرئيس أندريه راجولينا.وقال راندريانيرينا في بيان «الكولونيل مايكل راندريانيرينا سيؤدي اليمين رئيساً لإعادة تأسيس جمهورية مدغشقر خلال جلسة استماع رسمية»، مضيفاً أن المحكمة الدستورية العليا هي التي ستجري مراسم التنصيب.
مقاطعة إفريقية
وأعلن الاتحاد الإفريقي أمس، (الأربعاء)، تعليق عضوية مدغشقر بأثر فوري بعد الانقلاب، داعياً إلى استعادة الحكم المدني وإجراء انتخابات.لكن راندريانيرينا اعتبر أن قرار الاتحاد الإفريقي كان متوقعاً، قائلاً في مؤتمر صحفي اليوم: «من الآن فصاعداً ستكون هناك مفاوضات خلف الكواليس، وسنرى كيف تتطور الأمور».وكان راند ريانيرنا قال في وقت سابق إن الجيش استولى على السلطة وحل جميع المؤسسات باستثناء مجلس النواب، موضحاً أن لجنة يقودها الجيش ستتولى السلطة لمدة تصل إلى عامين إلى جانب حكومة انتقالية قبل تنظيم انتخابات جديدة.وندد راجولينا، الذي عزله المشرعون بعد فراره إلى الخارج في مطلع الأسبوع، بالاستيلاء على السلطة ورفض التنحي رغم احتجاجات قادها الشباب لمطالبته بالاستقالة وانشقاقات واسعة النطاق في قوات الأمن.
من هو راند ريانيرنا؟
يذكر أن راندريانيرينا كان قائداً في وحدة النخبة العسكرية «كابسات» التي لعبت دوراً في انقلاب عام 2009 الذي أوصل راجولينا إلى السلطة، لكنه انشق عنه الأسبوع الماضي، وحث الجنود على عدم إطلاق النار على المتظاهرين.
يبلغ عدد سكان مدغشقر نحو 30 مليون نسمة، ويعيش ثلاثة أرباع السكان في فقر، وبين استقلالها في عام 1960 وعام 2020، انخفض نصيب الفرد من الناتج المحلي الإجمالي بنسبة 45% وفقاً للبنك الدولي.
The new military governor of Madagascar, Colonel Michael Randrianirina, announced today (Thursday) that he will take the oath of office as the country's president tomorrow (Friday), stating that he is open to conducting talks with the African Union after it suspended his country's membership following a coup that ousted President Andry Rajoelina. Randrianirina said in a statement, "Colonel Michael Randrianirina will take the oath of office as President to re-establish the Republic of Madagascar during an official hearing," adding that the Supreme Constitutional Court will conduct the inauguration ceremony.
African Suspension
The African Union announced yesterday (Wednesday) the immediate suspension of Madagascar's membership following the coup, calling for the restoration of civilian rule and the holding of elections. However, Randrianirina considered the African Union's decision to be expected, stating at a press conference today: "From now on, there will be negotiations behind the scenes, and we will see how things develop." Randrianirina had previously stated that the military seized power and dissolved all institutions except for the House of Representatives, explaining that a committee led by the military would hold power for up to two years alongside a transitional government before organizing new elections. Rajoelina, who was ousted by lawmakers after fleeing abroad earlier this week, condemned the power seizure and refused to resign despite protests led by youth demanding his resignation and widespread defections within the security forces.
Who is Randrianirina?
It is noteworthy that Randrianirina was a leader in the elite military unit "Kabsat," which played a role in the 2009 coup that brought Rajoelina to power, but he defected from him last week, urging soldiers not to fire on protesters.
Madagascar has a population of about 30 million people, with three-quarters of the population living in poverty. Between its independence in 1960 and 2020, the per capita GDP declined by 45% according to the World Bank.
