انتقد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب مرة أخرى نظيره الروسي فلاديمير بوتين خلال تصريحات للصحفيين في البيت الأبيض أمس (الثلاثاء)، قائلاً إن بوتين ببساطة غير راغب في إنهاء حربه على أوكرانيا.
وأضاف ترمب «انظروا، أشعر بخيبة أمل كبيرة لأنني وفلاديمير جمعتنا علاقة جيدة للغاية، وربما لا تزال كذلك».
وتابع: «عليه أن يسوي هذه الحرب حقاً. وتعلمون أن لديهم طوابير طويلة تنتظر الحصول على البنزين في روسيا، الآن وفجأة سينهار اقتصاده».
وصعّدت روسيا ضرباتها على شبكات الكهرباء والسكك الحديد في أوكرانيا قبل أسابيع مع قرب حلول الشتاء، مع مخاوف من استمرار الهجمات كما في السنوات السابقة، وإغراق ملايين الأشخاص في الظلام في رابع شتاء تشهده البلاد منذ بدء الغزو الروسي في فبراير 2022.
واتهم الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي موسكو بمحاولة «إثارة الفوضى» بين السكان من خلال هذه الضربات التي ألحقت أضراراً كذلك بقطاع الغاز الأوكراني.
U.S. President Donald Trump once again criticized his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin during remarks to reporters at the White House yesterday (Tuesday), stating that Putin is simply unwilling to end his war on Ukraine.
Trump added, "Look, I am very disappointed because Vladimir and I had a very good relationship, and perhaps it still is."
He continued, "He really needs to settle this war. And you know they have long lines waiting for gasoline in Russia, and now suddenly his economy is going to collapse."
Russia has intensified its strikes on electricity and railway networks in Ukraine in recent weeks as winter approaches, amid fears that attacks will continue as in previous years, plunging millions into darkness in the fourth winter the country has experienced since the start of the Russian invasion in February 2022.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Moscow of trying to "create chaos" among the population through these strikes, which have also damaged the Ukrainian gas sector.
