أعلنت الرئاسة الإيرانية أمس (الأحد) عدم قبولها الدعوة الرسمية التي وُجهت إلى الرئيس مسعود بزشكيان للمشاركة في «قمة شرم الشيخ للسلام»، المقررة اليوم (الإثنين) في المدينة السياحية المصرية على ساحل البحر الأحمر، لتوقيع اتفاق وقف الحرب الإسرائيلية على قطاع غزة.
وتهدف القمة، التي ستجمع أكثر من 20 زعيما عالميا، ويرأسها الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب والرئيس المصري عبدالفتاح السيسي، إلى توقيع إعلان مشترك يركز على التهدئة، والمساعدات الإنسانية، وإنشاء آلية متعددة الأطراف لإدارة مرحلة ما بعد الحرب في غزة، التي أودت بحياة أكثر من 67 ألف فلسطيني على مدى عامين.
وجاءت الدعوة لإيران كخطوة نادرة من إدارة ترمب، التي تسعى إلى توسيع مشاركة الدول الإسلامية في القمة لتعزيز شرعيتها، ومع ذلك، أفادت وكالة «تسنيم» الإيرانية بأن طهران لم تخطط للحضور أصلا، مشيرة إلى أن الرفض يأتي في ظل تصعيد العقوبات الأممية على إيران بسبب برنامجها النووي، التي أعيد فرضها أخيرا بعد فشل محاولات التأجيل.
وأشارت الرئاسة المصرية إلى أن قمة شرم الشيخ للسلام تهدف إلى إنهاء الحرب في قطاع غزة، وتعزيز جهود إحلال السلام والاستقرار في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، وفتح صفحة جديدة من الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي. وأوضح المتحدث باسم الرئاسة المصرية أن القمة تأتي في ضوء رؤية الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب لتحقيق السلام في المنطقة، وسعيه الحثيث لإنهاء النزاعات حول العالم.
The Iranian presidency announced yesterday (Sunday) that it would not accept the official invitation extended to President Masoud Bezhakian to participate in the "Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit," scheduled for today (Monday) in the Egyptian tourist city on the Red Sea coast, to sign an agreement to cease the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
The summit, which will bring together more than 20 world leaders and will be chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, aims to sign a joint declaration focusing on de-escalation, humanitarian aid, and the establishment of a multilateral mechanism to manage the post-war phase in Gaza, which has claimed the lives of more than 67,000 Palestinians over the past two years.
The invitation to Iran came as a rare step from the Trump administration, which seeks to expand the participation of Islamic countries in the summit to enhance its legitimacy. However, the Iranian news agency "Tasnim" reported that Tehran had not planned to attend at all, indicating that the refusal comes amid escalating UN sanctions on Iran due to its nuclear program, which were recently reimposed after failed attempts to delay them.
The Egyptian presidency indicated that the Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit aims to end the war in the Gaza Strip, enhance efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East, and open a new chapter of regional security and stability. The spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency clarified that the summit comes in light of U.S. President Donald Trump's vision for achieving peace in the region and his relentless efforts to end conflicts around the world.
