فيما قالت إسرائيل إنها ستبدأ في إطلاق الأسرى الفلسطينيين فور تأكيد وصول الرهائن الإسرائيليين المحتجزين في غزة، أعلن نائب الرئيس الأمريكي جي دي فانس، اليوم (الأحد)، أن الساعات القادمة قد تشهد الإفراج عن المحتجزين الإسرائيليين في قطاع غزة.
وأكد فانس أن الرئيس دونالد ترمب سيستقبل المحتجزين شخصياً بعد إطلاق سراحهم، نافياً أن تكون واشنطن تخطط لنشر قوات على الأرض في غزة أو إسرائيل.
وأوضح نائب الرئيس الأمريكي في تصريحات صحفية أن المحتجزين الإسرائيليين في غزة قد يُفرج عنهم في أي لحظة الآن، قبل الموعد النهائي المحدد، يوم (الاثنين)، وذلك في إطار المرحلة الأولى من خطة ترمب لإنهاء الحرب في غزة.
ترمب يخطط للسفر
وأشار إلى أن رئيس الولايات المتحدة يخطط للسفر إلى الشرق الأوسط للترحيب بالمحتجزين صباح (الاثنين)، بتوقيت الشرق الأوسط، قائلاً: «لا يمكن تحديد الموعد الدقيق للإفراج عن المحتجزين، لكن لدينا كل التوقعات، ولهذا السبب سيذهب الرئيس، وسيستقبل المحتجزين في وقت مبكر من الأسبوع القادم».
وأضاف: «نحن على أعتاب سلام حقيقي في الشرق الأوسط.. بالتأكيد هؤلاء العشرون محتجزاً سيعودون إلى عائلاتهم»، واصفاً ما يجري بـ«اللحظة العظيمة للعالم».
وحول استعدادات القيادة المركزية الأمريكية لإنشاء مركز تنسيق في إسرائيل، وإرسال 200 جندي لدعم ومراقبة اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار بين حركة حماس وتل أبيب، قال نائب الرئيس الأمريكي: «هذا غير دقيق».
مراقبة تنفيذ الاتفاق
وأضاف: «لدينا حالياً قوات في القيادة المركزية منذ عقود في هذه المنطقة، وسيعملون على مراقبة تنفيذ شروط وقف إطلاق النار، وضمان تموضع القوات الإسرائيلية في الخط المتفق عليه، والتأكد من أن حماس لا تهاجم مدنيين إسرائيليين، وبذل كل ما بوسعهم لضمان أن السلام الذي أنشأناه سيستمر ويصمد»، مبيناً أن بلاده لا تنوي ولم تخطط لإرسال قوات على الأرض في غزة أو إسرائيل «ولكننا سنواصل مراقبة هذا السلام لضمان استمراره».
وتستكمل إسرائيل استعداداتها لتنفيذ صفقة تبادل الأسرى مع حماس ضمن المرحلة الأولى من خطة ترمب التي تشمل إطلاق سراح الأسرى الفلسطينيين مقابل المحتجزين الإسرائيليين، وذلك بعد أن سحب الجيش الإسرائيلي، (الجمعة)، قواته في قطاع غزة تدريجياً إلى الخط الأصفر، أول خط انسحاب من القطاع بموجب خطة ترمب لإنهاء الحرب، بعد مصادقة الحكومة الإسرائيلية على الاتفاق.
من جهة أخرى، قالت المتحدثة باسم رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي شوش بدرسيان في إحاطة صحفية: «سيتم الإفراج عن المعتقلين الفلسطينيين بمجرد أن تؤكد إسرائيل وصول جميع رهائننا المقرر إطلاق سراحهم الإثنين عبر الحدود».
While Israel stated that it would begin releasing Palestinian prisoners as soon as the arrival of the Israeli hostages held in Gaza is confirmed, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance announced today (Sunday) that the coming hours may witness the release of the Israeli captives in the Gaza Strip.
Vance confirmed that President Donald Trump will personally welcome the released captives after their release, denying that Washington plans to deploy ground troops in Gaza or Israel.
The U.S. Vice President explained in press statements that the Israeli captives in Gaza could be released at any moment now, ahead of the set deadline on (Monday), as part of the first phase of Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza.
Trump Plans to Travel
He noted that the President of the United States plans to travel to the Middle East to welcome the captives on Monday morning, Middle Eastern time, saying: "The exact timing of the release of the captives cannot be determined, but we have every expectation, and that is why the President will go and welcome the captives early next week."
He added: "We are on the brink of real peace in the Middle East... certainly these twenty captives will return to their families," describing what is happening as "a great moment for the world."
Regarding the U.S. Central Command's preparations to establish a coordination center in Israel and send 200 troops to support and monitor the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Tel Aviv, the U.S. Vice President said: "That is not accurate."
Monitoring the Implementation of the Agreement
He added: "We currently have forces in the Central Command in this region for decades, and they will work to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire terms, ensure the positioning of Israeli forces at the agreed line, and make sure that Hamas does not attack Israeli civilians, doing everything they can to ensure that the peace we have established will continue and endure," indicating that his country does not intend or plan to send ground troops in Gaza or Israel "but we will continue to monitor this peace to ensure its continuation."
Israel is completing its preparations to implement the prisoner exchange deal with Hamas as part of the first phase of Trump's plan, which includes the release of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the Israeli captives, after the Israeli army gradually withdrew its forces in the Gaza Strip on (Friday) to the yellow line, the first withdrawal line from the strip under Trump's plan to end the war, following the Israeli government's approval of the agreement.
On the other hand, the spokesperson for Israeli Prime Minister Shosh Bedrosian said in a press briefing: "The Palestinian detainees will be released as soon as Israel confirms the arrival of all our hostages scheduled to be released on Monday across the border."
