قتل 12 شخصاً بينهم مسلحون وشرطيون في هجوم استهدف مدرسة لتدريب الشرطة شمال غربي باكستان.
وأعلن الجيش الباكستاني في بيان، أن مسلحين هاجموا مدرسة لتدريب الشرطة في مدينة ديرة إسماعيل خان بإقليم خيبر بختونخوا.
وأضاف أن أجهزة إنفاذ القانون تصدت لهم، ما أسفر عن مقتل ستة من المهاجمين وستة من رجال الشرطة بينهم متدربون، فيما أصيب آخرون بجروح.
وشهدت باكستان تصاعداً كبيراً في الهجمات المسلحة خلال الأشهر الماضية، فيما يواصل الجيش جهوده منذ سنوات، للقضاء على جماعات مسلحة تتحصن بمناطق جبلية وتشن بين الحين والآخر هجمات ضد الأمنيين والمدنيين.
12 people were killed, including militants and police officers, in an attack targeting a police training school in northwestern Pakistan.
The Pakistani army announced in a statement that militants attacked a police training school in the city of Dera Ismail Khan in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
It added that law enforcement agencies confronted them, resulting in the deaths of six attackers and six police officers, including trainees, while others were injured.
Pakistan has witnessed a significant increase in armed attacks over the past few months, while the army has been continuing its efforts for years to eliminate armed groups that are entrenched in mountainous areas and occasionally launch attacks against security personnel and civilians.
