قتل 12 شخصاً وأصيب 17 آخرين في قصف مباشر شنته قوات الدعم السريع على مستشفى الفاشر، اليوم (الأربعاء). وأعلنت مصادر صحية، أن بين الجرحى طبيبة وكادر تمريض كانوا يؤدون واجبهم الإنساني في إنقاذ الأرواح داخل المستشفى.
تحرك المجتمع الدولي
ودانت شبكة أطباء السودان استهداف مستشفى يعجّ بالمرضى والكوادر الطبية، مؤكدة أنها جريمة حرب مكتملة الأركان، تكشف بوضوح الاستهتار التام بأرواح المدنيين وبالقوانين الدولية التي تحمي المرافق الصحية والعاملين فيها. وحمّلت الشبكة، الدعم السريع المسؤولية الكاملة عن هذا القصف المتعمد، داعية المجتمع الدولي والمنظمات الإنسانية إلى التحرك الفوري والعاجل لوقف هذه الانتهاكات ووقف قصف المرافق الخدمية والمستشفيات ومنازل المواطنين، وحماية ما تبقى من النظام الصحي المنهار في الفاشر.
وأكدت المصادر إصابة قسم النساء والتوليد في مستشفى الفاشر بقصف مسيرة أطلقها الدعم السريع، وذكرت أن الضربة أدت إلى تضرر المباني والمعدات.
وتعرضت العديد من المنشآت الطبية والصحية للقصف منذ اندلاع الحرب في السودان بين قوات الجيش والدعم السريع في منتصف أبريل 2023.
ويعد مستشفى الفاشر من المؤسسات الصحية القليلة، التي لا تزال تعمل في ولاية شمال دارفور.
تطهير بعض المواقع
وكانت قوات الجيش السوداني أعلنت، أمس الثلاثاء، سيطرتها على مواقع دفاعية متقدمة تابعة لقوات الدعم السريع في مدينة الفاشر مركز ولاية شمال دارفور غرب البلاد. وقالت في بيان إن قواتها نفذت عمليات خاصة، اليوم، تمكنت خلالها من تطهير بعض المواقع الدفاعية المتقدمة من قوات الدعم السريع في الفاشر، بعد أن كبّدتها خسائر في العتاد والأرواح. وأضافت أن قواتها استلمت مركبات قتالية بكامل عتادها، ودمرت 6 مركبات أخرى بينها مصفحات. ولفت الجيش إلى أن قوات الدعم السريع شنت هجوماً على المحور الجنوبي لمدينة الفاشر، لكن قواته تصدت لها وكبدتها خسائر كبيرة.
أهمية إستراتيجية
وتفرض قوات الدعم السريع حصاراً على الفاشر منذ مايو 2024، فيما يسعى الجيش السوداني لاستعادة السيطرة على المدينة التي تُعد مركز العمليات الإنسانية لولايات دارفور الخمس.
وتتميز الفاشر بأهمية استراتيجية قصوى، إذ يمكن أن تمثل استعادتها بداية هزيمة شاملة لقوات الدعم السريع التي فقدت عدداً كبيراً من أوراق قوتها، بعد فقدانها السيطرة على الخرطوم في أغسطس الماضي.
وتقلصت في الآونة الأخيرة مساحات سيطرة قوات الدعم السريع بشكل متسارع في مختلف ولايات السودان لصالح الجيش الذي وسّع من نطاق سيطرته، لتشمل الخرطوم وولايتي النيل الأبيض وشمال كردفان.
Twelve people were killed and 17 others were injured in a direct shelling carried out by the Rapid Support Forces on Al-Fasher Hospital today (Wednesday). Health sources announced that among the injured were a doctor and nursing staff who were performing their humanitarian duty to save lives inside the hospital.
International Community Action
The Sudanese Doctors Network condemned the targeting of a hospital filled with patients and medical staff, affirming that it is a complete war crime that clearly reveals total disregard for the lives of civilians and for international laws that protect health facilities and their workers. The network held the Rapid Support Forces fully responsible for this deliberate shelling, calling on the international community and humanitarian organizations to take immediate and urgent action to stop these violations, halt the bombing of service facilities, hospitals, and citizens' homes, and protect what remains of the collapsed health system in Al-Fasher.
Sources confirmed that the women's and maternity department at Al-Fasher Hospital was hit by a drone strike launched by the Rapid Support Forces, noting that the strike caused damage to buildings and equipment.
Many medical and health facilities have been bombed since the outbreak of war in Sudan between the army and the Rapid Support Forces in mid-April 2023.
Al-Fasher Hospital is one of the few health institutions that are still operational in North Darfur State.
Clearing Some Sites
The Sudanese army announced yesterday, Tuesday, that it had taken control of advanced defensive positions belonging to the Rapid Support Forces in the city of Al-Fasher, the center of North Darfur State in the west of the country. It stated in a statement that its forces carried out special operations today, during which they managed to clear some advanced defensive positions from the Rapid Support Forces in Al-Fasher, after inflicting losses on them in equipment and lives. It added that its forces seized combat vehicles with all their equipment and destroyed six other vehicles, including armored vehicles. The army pointed out that the Rapid Support Forces launched an attack on the southern axis of the city of Al-Fasher, but its forces repelled them and inflicted heavy losses on them.
Strategic Importance
The Rapid Support Forces have been besieging Al-Fasher since May 2024, while the Sudanese army is seeking to regain control of the city, which is considered the center of humanitarian operations for the five Darfur states.
Al-Fasher has extreme strategic importance, as its recovery could represent the beginning of a comprehensive defeat for the Rapid Support Forces, which have lost a significant number of their power cards after losing control of Khartoum last August.
Recently, the areas under the control of the Rapid Support Forces have rapidly diminished across various states in Sudan in favor of the army, which has expanded its control to include Khartoum and the White Nile and North Kordofan states.
