أنهى السوريون عملية اختيار أول برلمان في سورية بعد الإطاحة بحكم بشار الأسد. وأعلن المتحدث باسم اللجنة العليا لانتخابات مجلس الشعب نوار نجمة، اليوم (الإثنين)، أن عمليات الاقتراع انتهت في كل المحافظات السورية، مؤكداً في تغريدة على حسابه في إكس أن «مجلس الشعب خالٍ تماماً من داعمي النظام البائد»، وفق تعبيره.
ونقلت قناة «الإخبارية السورية» عن نوار قوله: إذا ظهرت أدلة تثبت ارتباط أي شخص بالنظام السابق فسيتم إقصاؤه من المجلس. وشدّد على أن البرلمان «مؤسسة رسمية للحوار الوطني ووضع القوانين التي ستؤسس للمستقبل».
فيما أفاد عضو في لجنة الانتخابات بأنه على الرغم من أن بعض النتائج الأولية ظهرت تدريجيّاً مساء أمس الأحد، فإن القائمة النهائية للفائزين لن تُعلن قبل اليوم الإثنين.
15 % من النساء فقط
في غضون ذلك، عبّر بعض السوريين على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، عن خيبتهم من الحضور النسائي الضعيف في البرلمان الجديد. وأكدوا أن 8 نساء فقط فزن خلال العملية الانتخابية التي جرت أمس.
وكان حوالى 6,000 شخص شاركوا في عملية اختيار النواب، بعدما نافس أكثر من 1,500 مرشح، 14% منهم فقط من النساء على عضوية المجلس، الذي ستكون ولايته 30 شهراً قابلة للتجديد، وفق اللجنة العليا للانتخابات.
وكان الرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع أكد أن «السوريين يفخرون بالانتقال من مرحلة الحرب والفوضى إلى الانتخابات». وشدّد على أن «هذه اللحظة التاريخية مهمة جداً في الوقت الحاضر»، داعياً جميع السوريين إلى بناء وطنهم من جديد.
يذكر أن تشكيل البرلمان الجديد سيتم بناء على آلية حدّدها الإعلان الدستوري، وليس بانتخابات مباشرة من الشعب. إذ انتخبت، بموجب هذه الآلية، هيئات مناطقية شكّلتها لجنة عليا، ثلثي أعضاء المجلس البالغ عددهم 210، على أن يعيّن الرئيس السوري الثلث الباقي.
فيما تأجل اختيار أعضاء المجلس في محافظات السويداء والرقة (شمالاً) والحسكة (شمال شرق)؛ بسبب «التحديات الأمنية»، وفق ما أعلنت لجنة الانتخابات سابقاً.
The Syrians have completed the process of selecting the first parliament in Syria after the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad's regime. The spokesperson for the Supreme Committee for the Elections of the People's Assembly, Nawar Najma, announced today (Monday) that the voting process has ended in all Syrian provinces, confirming in a tweet on his X account that "the People's Assembly is completely free of supporters of the fallen regime," as he put it.
The Syrian News Channel quoted Nawar as saying: If evidence emerges proving any person's connection to the previous regime, they will be excluded from the council. He emphasized that the parliament is "an official institution for national dialogue and the establishment of laws that will lay the foundation for the future."
Meanwhile, a member of the election committee reported that although some preliminary results gradually appeared last night, the final list of winners will not be announced before today, Monday.
Only 15% of Women
In the meantime, some Syrians expressed their disappointment on social media regarding the weak female representation in the new parliament. They confirmed that only 8 women won during the electoral process that took place yesterday.
About 6,000 people participated in the selection of the deputies, after more than 1,500 candidates competed, of whom only 14% were women for membership in the council, which will have a term of 30 months renewable, according to the Supreme Election Committee.
Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara confirmed that "Syrians take pride in moving from a phase of war and chaos to elections." He stressed that "this historical moment is very important at present," calling on all Syrians to rebuild their country anew.
It is worth noting that the formation of the new parliament will be based on a mechanism defined by the constitutional declaration, rather than through direct elections by the people. According to this mechanism, regional bodies formed by a supreme committee elected two-thirds of the council's members, totaling 210, while the Syrian president will appoint the remaining third.
The selection of council members in the provinces of Sweida, Raqqa (in the north), and Hasakah (in the northeast) was postponed due to "security challenges," as announced by the election committee earlier.
