أعلنت وكالة الأمم المتحدة لإغاثة وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين (أونروا)، اليوم (الأحد)، مقتل أكثر من 370 موظفاً من موظفيها في قطاع غزة منذ أكتوبر 2023، مبينة أن 80% من مباني القطاع دُمِّرت أو تضررت جراء القصف الإسرائيلي.
كما أعلنت وزارة الصحة الفلسطينية في غزة اليوم ارتفاع عدد قتلى التجويع إلى 460، بينهم 154 طفلاً، بعد تسجيل حالة وفاة جديدة خلال الساعات الـ24 الماضية، مؤكدة مقتل 67,139 فلسطينياً، وإصابة 169,583 آخرين منذ 7 أكتوبر 2023.
ضحايا جدد في قصف إسرائيلي
قُتل 19 فلسطينياً منذ فجر اليوم بنيران جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، بينهم 11 في استمرار القصف على قطاع غزة.
في المقابل، قالت المتحدثة باسم الحكومة الإسرائيلية إنه لا يوجد وقف لإطلاق النار في غزة، وإنما هناك توقف مؤقت لبعض القصف، مشيرةً إلى أن الجيش الإسرائيلي يواصل عملياته في غزة «لأغراض دفاعية».
ويأتي استمرار حرب الإبادة في غزة في الوقت الذي تستضيف فيه القاهرة مفاوضين من إسرائيل وحركة حماس، لبحث مسألة الإفراج عن الأسرى في غزة وسجون الاحتلال، في سياق خطة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب لإنهاء الحرب.
مخاوف من تعطيل إسرائيل الخطة
وشدّد قيادي بارز في حركة حماس على حرص الحركة على التوصل إلى اتفاق يوقف الحرب المتواصلة منذ عامين في قطاع غزة، والبدء فوراً بعملية تبادل للرهائن الإسرائيليين والمعتقلين الفلسطينيين، محذّراً من محاولات إسرائيل تعطيل تنفيذ الخطة.
وذكر مسؤول فلسطيني أن الاجتماع سيشهد تبادل رسائل بين الطرفين (حماس وإسرائيل) عبر الوسطاء المصريين والقطريين، ومن المتوقع أن يتواجد وفدا الطرفين في المبنى نفسه بعيداً عن وسائل الإعلام.
وأشار إلى أن المفاوضات تهدف إلى مناقشة تهيئة الظروف الميدانية لبدء عملية نقل الأسرى الإسرائيليين في غزة، تمهيداً للشروع في تنفيذ عملية التبادل.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced today (Sunday) that more than 370 of its staff members have been killed in the Gaza Strip since October 2023, indicating that 80% of the buildings in the sector have been destroyed or damaged due to Israeli bombardment.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza also announced today that the number of starvation-related deaths has risen to 460, including 154 children, after recording a new death in the past 24 hours, confirming the deaths of 67,139 Palestinians and the injury of 169,583 others since October 7, 2023.
New Victims in Israeli Bombardment
19 Palestinians have been killed since dawn today by the fire of the Israeli occupation army, including 11 as the bombardment on the Gaza Strip continues.
In contrast, the spokesperson for the Israeli government stated that there is no ceasefire in Gaza, but rather a temporary halt to some bombardment, noting that the Israeli army continues its operations in Gaza "for defensive purposes."
The continuation of the genocide in Gaza comes at a time when Cairo is hosting negotiators from Israel and Hamas to discuss the issue of releasing prisoners in Gaza and in the occupation's prisons, as part of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to end the war.Concerns Over Israel Disrupting the Plan
A senior Hamas leader emphasized the movement's commitment to reaching an agreement that stops the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, and to immediately begin a process of exchanging Israeli hostages and Palestinian detainees, warning against attempts by Israel to disrupt the implementation of the plan.
A Palestinian official mentioned that the meeting will witness the exchange of messages between the two parties (Hamas and Israel) through Egyptian and Qatari mediators, and it is expected that delegations from both sides will be present in the same building away from the media.
He indicated that the negotiations aim to discuss the preparation of the ground conditions for starting the process of transferring Israeli prisoners in Gaza, in preparation for initiating the exchange process.
