بدعم من مكتب المفوضية العام للأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان في اليمن، نظم الائتلاف المدني والحقوقي (كارف) اليوم (الأحد)، في العاصمة المؤقتة عدن، ورشة لمناقشة ومراجعة المسودة الأولى لتقرير الظل الخاص بتنفيذ اتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة، الذي تعكف على إعداده المنظمات النسوية والحقوقية المنضوية في ائتلاف كارف.
الهدف من الورشة
وتهدف الورشة إلى المناقشة الجماعية للمسودة الأولى من التقرير الموازي (الظل) الذي عملت عليه المنظمات، ومراجعة وإثراء المسودة، خصوصاً في الجوانب المتعلقة بأوضاع النساء التي تناولتها التوصيات المقدمة لليمن في أكتوبر 2021، إضافة إلى أشكال انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان ضد النساء الأخيرة في عموم اليمن.
وعرضت مجموعات العمل المسودة الأولية من بيانات وإحصاءات متعلقة بوضع النساء في اليمن خلال السنوات الأربع التي تدخل في نطاق التقرير الذي سيقدم إلى لجنة اتفاقية القضاء على كافة أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة (سيداو)، واستكمال النواقص في المعلومات المطلوبة بالسياق، ومستوى الوفاء بالتزامات اليمن تجاه النساء في الحقوق المدنية والسياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية وآليات الحماية الاجتماعية والقانونية، وصور التمييز القائم على النوع الاجتماعي، كما تضمنت ورشة العمل الاستماع إلى الإضافات والملاحظات المقترحة من أعضاء وعضوات ائتلاف كارف.
30 منظمة في الائتلاف
وتعد هذه المشاركة الثانية للائتلاف المدني والحقوقي (كارف) في تقديم تقرير الظل المتعلق بمستوى تنفيذ اتفاقية القضاء على كافة أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة في اليمن، ويتكون الائتلاف من 30 منظمة مجتمع مدني نسوية وحقوقية عاملة في عموم المحافظات، إضافة لمنظمات عاملة في محافظات عدن، والمهرة، وحضرموت، ولحج، وأبين، وتعز، ومأرب، والبيضاء.
With the support of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Yemen, the Civil and Human Rights Coalition (CARF) organized a workshop today (Sunday) in the temporary capital, Aden, to discuss and review the first draft of the shadow report on the implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, which is being prepared by women's and human rights organizations that are part of the CARF coalition.
Objective of the Workshop
The workshop aims to facilitate a collective discussion of the first draft of the parallel (shadow) report that the organizations have worked on, and to review and enrich the draft, particularly regarding the conditions of women addressed in the recommendations submitted to Yemen in October 2021, in addition to the recent forms of human rights violations against women throughout Yemen.
Working groups presented the preliminary draft of data and statistics related to the status of women in Yemen over the past four years, which fall within the scope of the report that will be submitted to the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), and to complete the gaps in the required information in context, the level of Yemen's fulfillment of its commitments to women regarding civil, political, economic, and social rights, social and legal protection mechanisms, and forms of gender-based discrimination. The workshop also included listening to the additions and proposed comments from members of the CARF coalition.
30 Organizations in the Coalition
This is the second participation of the Civil and Human Rights Coalition (CARF) in presenting the shadow report related to the level of implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women in Yemen. The coalition consists of 30 women's and human rights civil society organizations operating in various governorates, in addition to organizations working in the governorates of Aden, Al-Mahrah, Hadramout, Lahij, Abyan, Taiz, Marib, and Al-Bayda.
