فرضت وزارة الخزانة الأمريكية، اليوم (الأربعاء)، عقوبات جديدة متعلقة بإيران بموجب قانون منع الانتشار النووي.
وأوضح بيان وزارة الخزانة الأمريكية أن العقوبات تستهدف 21 كياناً و17 فرداً متورطين في شبكات تدعم وزارة الدفاع الإيرانية في الحصول على تقنيات ومعدات حساسة لتطوير الصواريخ والطائرات العسكرية، مبينة أن هذه الشبكات ساعدت إيران في شراء مكونات لصواريخ أرض - جو متقدمة، ورادارات، وتكنولوجيا توجيه صواريخ، وحتى مروحية أمريكية الصنع بشكل غير مشروع.
الحصول على أسلحة نووية
وقال وزير الخزانة سكوت بيسينت: «إن دعم النظام الإيراني لوكلائه وسعيه للحصول على أسلحة نووية يهدد أمن الشرق الأوسط والولايات المتحدة وحلفاءنا في جميع أنحاء العالم»، مضيفاً: «تحت قيادة الرئيس ترمب، سنحرم النظام من الأسلحة التي قد يستخدمها لتحقيق أهدافه الخبيثة».
العقوبات الدولية على طهران
وعزت وزارة الخزانة الأمريكية قرارها اليوم إلى دعم إعادة فرض عقوبات الأمم المتحدة على إيران في 27 سبتمبر، مطالبة جميع الدول الأعضاء في الأمم المتحدة التنفيذ السريع للقيود التي تفرضها الأمم المتحدة على برامج إيران النووية والصاروخية وغيرها من الأسلحة، بما في ذلك حظر الأسلحة، وضوابط التصدير، وحظر السفر، وتجميد الأصول، وغيرها من القيود المفروضة على الأفراد والكيانات، بما في ذلك البنوك، المشاركة في الأنشطة النووية والصاروخية الإيرانية.
وأعيد (الأحد) فرض عقوبات أممية على إيران على خلفية برنامجها النووي سبق أن رُفعت بموجب اتفاق العام 2015.
The U.S. Department of the Treasury imposed new sanctions related to Iran today (Wednesday) under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act.
The statement from the U.S. Department of the Treasury clarified that the sanctions target 21 entities and 17 individuals involved in networks supporting the Iranian Ministry of Defense in acquiring sensitive technologies and equipment for the development of missiles and military aircraft, noting that these networks have assisted Iran in purchasing components for advanced surface-to-air missiles, radars, missile guidance technology, and even a U.S.-made helicopter illegally.
Acquisition of Nuclear Weapons
Treasury Secretary Scott Pruitt stated, "The Iranian regime's support for its proxies and its pursuit of nuclear weapons threatens the security of the Middle East, the United States, and our allies around the world," adding, "Under President Trump's leadership, we will deprive the regime of the weapons it may use to achieve its nefarious goals."
International Sanctions on Tehran
The U.S. Department of the Treasury attributed its decision today to support the re-imposition of United Nations sanctions on Iran on September 27, calling on all UN member states to swiftly implement the restrictions imposed by the UN on Iran's nuclear, missile, and other weapons programs, including arms embargoes, export controls, travel bans, asset freezes, and other restrictions on individuals and entities, including banks, involved in Iranian nuclear and missile activities.
UN sanctions on Iran were re-imposed (on Sunday) in light of its nuclear program, which had previously been lifted under the 2015 agreement.
