مع انطلاق الدعاية الانتخابية، أعلن رئيس اللجنة العليا لانتخابات مجلس الشعب السوري محمد طه الأحمد أن الاقتراع بشأن مجلس الشعب سيبدأ اعتبارا من الأحد القادم.
وقال الأحمد في تصريحات لوكالة سانا، اليوم(الإثنين)، إن الدعاية الانتخابية تبدأ اليوم وتنتهي مساء الجمعة القادم على أن يكون السبت القادم يوم صمت انتخابي.
ولفت رئيس اللجنة العليا لانتخابات مجلس الشعب السوري إلى أن عدد المرشحين بلغ 1578 مرشحا، وشكلت النساء ما نسبته 14% منهم.
وحسب الوكالة، فإن اللجنة الفرعية لانتخابات مجلس الشعب في دمشق استقبلت طلبات الترشح لعضوية المجلس في اليوم الأخير من المهلة المحددة، وسط إقبال واسع من أعضاء الهيئة الناخبة.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة ضمن الاستعدادات لإجراء الانتخابات بعد استكمال تشكيل الهيئات الناخبة في جميع المحافظات، في تجربة هي الأولى على مستوى سورية.
وأوضحت عضو اللجنة العليا لانتخابات مجلس الشعب لارا عيزوقي في تصريح لـ«سانا»، أن اللجنة وصلت أمس إلى النتيجة الأهم التي سعت إليها منذ أشهر، والمتمثلة بالترشح لعضوية مجلس الشعب بعد تشكيل الهيئات الناخبة في المحافظات، ولفتت إلى أن الإقبال على الترشح كان كبيراً، خصوصا أن هذه التجربة هي الأولى على مستوى سورية.
وحول مشاركة المرأة، قالت عيزوقي إن نسبة تمثيلهن بلغت في دمشق 31.9 %، مؤكدةً أن هذه النسبة مشجعة، ومتمنيةً أن يكون عدد النساء المشاركات جيداً ويعادل النسبة الموجودة ضمن الهيئة الناخبة.
من جانبه، أكد رئيس اللجنة الفرعية لانتخابات مجلس الشعب في دمشق أسامة رفاعية أن اللجنة بدأت السبت استقبال طلبات الترشح لأعضاء الهيئة الناخبة.
وكانت اللجنة العليا لانتخابات مجلس الشعب السوري حددت الخامس من شهر أكتوبر القادم موعداً لانتخاب أعضاء المجلس.

With the start of the election campaign, the head of the Supreme Committee for the Syrian People's Council Elections, Mohammad Taha Al-Ahmad, announced that voting for the People's Council will begin next Sunday.
Al-Ahmad stated in remarks to the SANA agency today (Monday) that the election campaign begins today and ends next Friday evening, with next Saturday being a day of electoral silence.
The head of the Supreme Committee for the Syrian People's Council Elections pointed out that the number of candidates has reached 1,578, with women making up 14% of them.
According to the agency, the sub-committee for the People's Council Elections in Damascus received applications for candidacy for council membership on the last day of the specified deadline, amid a wide turnout from members of the electoral body.
This step comes as part of the preparations for holding the elections after completing the formation of electoral bodies in all provinces, in a first-time experience at the level of Syria.
Member of the Supreme Committee for the People's Council Elections, Lara Aizouqi, clarified in a statement to "SANA" that the committee reached yesterday the most important result it has been striving for over the past months, which is the candidacy for membership in the People's Council after forming the electoral bodies in the provinces. She noted that the turnout for candidacy was significant, especially since this experience is the first of its kind in Syria.
Regarding women's participation, Aizouqi stated that their representation rate in Damascus reached 31.9%, confirming that this percentage is encouraging and hoping that the number of participating women will be good and equivalent to the percentage present within the electoral body.
