وسط تزايد جرائم الاختطافات الحوثية للمدنيين في عدد من المحافظات اليمنية من المحتفين بذكرى قيام الجهورية اليمنية، أثار انتحار فتاة في محافظة الحديدة غرب اليمن بسبب ابتزاز قيادي حوثي لها بصورها بعد ان سرق هاتفها غضب الشارع اليمني.
ونظم أهالي قرية الهارونية بمديرية المنيرة شمال محافظة الحديدة، اليوم (الأحد)، احتجاجاً في الحديدة للمطالبة بسجن المشرف الحوثي يوسف دوم المتسبب في انتحار مدرسة، الذي سرق هاتفها وهددها بنشر صورها وإهانة أسرتها.
غضب الأهالي
وهربت قيادات حوثية المشرف في قرية الهارونية من السجن بعد احتجازه لفترة وجيزة، ما أثار غضب الأهالي الذين تعرضوا للاعتداءات الحوثية خلال الاحتجاجات التي نظموها في مدينة الحديدة، اليوم، للمطالبة بإنصافهم وإعادة المشرف الحوثي إلى السجن وتنفيذ حكم الشرع فيه.
وكانت وصية الفتاة التي انتحرت قد أكدت أنها ليست الوحيدة، بل هناك عدد من الفتيات تعرضن للتهديد نفسه من قبل المشرف الحوثي.
من جهة أخرى، دانت السفارة الأمريكية لدى اليمن، الاختطافات غير القانونية التي نفذها الحوثي، بحق أكثر من 600 شخص احتفل بذكرى ثورة الـ26 من سبتمبر، موضحة إن هذه الأفعال استخفاف صارخ بالحريات الأساسية، وحقوق الشعب اليمني في تكريم تاريخه وتقاليده.
طبيعة حوثية قمعية
بدوره، قال وزير الإعلام والثقافة والسياحة اليمني معمر الإرياني: في خطوة تعكس طبيعتها القمعية ونهجها المعادي للوطن ولقيم الحرية والعدالة والمساواة، شنت جماعة الحوثي، حملة اعتقالات همجية، طالت أكثر من 1,000 مواطن في صنعاء، ومحافظات (صنعاء، عمران، المحويت، ذمار، حجة، إب، تعز، الحديدة، والبيضاء)، فقط لأنهم احتفلوا بثورة الـ26 من سبتمبر، وأوقدوا شعلة الحرية، ورفعوا العلم الوطني.
وأشار إلى أن تلك الحملة تعبير صريح عن حالة الرعب التي تعيشها الجماعة، وخوفها المزمن من أي فعل رمزي يعيد إحياء روح سبتمبر في وجدان اليمنيين، أو يذكرهم بدولتهم المسلوبة وهويتهم التي تحاول طمسها، موضحاً أن هذه الممارسات القمعية تعكس حالة الهلع والخوف والارتباك التي تسيطر على الحوثيين، في كل مناسبة وطنية.
Amid the increasing Houthi abductions of civilians in several Yemeni provinces commemorating the anniversary of the establishment of the Yemeni Republic, the suicide of a girl in Al-Hudaydah province in western Yemen due to blackmail by a Houthi leader using her photos after stealing her phone has sparked public outrage in Yemen.
Today (Sunday), residents of Al-Harouniya village in the Al-Munirah district north of Al-Hudaydah organized a protest in Al-Hudaydah demanding the imprisonment of the Houthi supervisor, Youssef Doum, who was responsible for the suicide of a teacher, having stolen her phone and threatened to publish her pictures and insult her family.
Public Anger
Houthi leaders fled from the prison after being held for a brief period, which incited the anger of the residents who faced Houthi assaults during the protests they organized in the city of Al-Hudaydah today, demanding justice and the return of the Houthi supervisor to prison and the implementation of Sharia law against him.
The deceased girl's will confirmed that she was not the only one; there are several other girls who have faced the same threats from the Houthi supervisor.
On another note, the U.S. Embassy in Yemen condemned the illegal abductions carried out by the Houthis against more than 600 individuals who celebrated the anniversary of the September 26 Revolution, stating that these actions are a blatant disregard for fundamental freedoms and the rights of the Yemeni people to honor their history and traditions.
Repressive Houthi Nature
For his part, Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Muammar Al-Eryani stated: In a move that reflects its repressive nature and its hostile approach to the homeland and the values of freedom, justice, and equality, the Houthi group launched a barbaric campaign of arrests that targeted more than 1,000 citizens in Sana'a and the provinces of (Sana'a, Amran, Al-Mahwit, Dhamar, Hajjah, Ibb, Taiz, Al-Hudaydah, and Al-Bayda), simply because they celebrated the September 26 Revolution, ignited the flame of freedom, and raised the national flag.
He pointed out that this campaign is a clear expression of the state of terror that the group is experiencing and its chronic fear of any symbolic act that revives the spirit of September in the hearts of Yemenis or reminds them of their usurped state and the identity it seeks to obliterate, explaining that these repressive practices reflect the panic, fear, and confusion that dominate the Houthis during every national occasion.
