أعلن الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي اليوم (الخميس) استعداده لترك منصبه بعد انتهاء الحرب مع روسيا، موضحاً أنه تقدم بطلب وحيد إلى الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب (الثلاثاء) يجبر الروسي فلاديمير بوتين على الجلوس إلى طاولة المفاوضات.
دعم ترمب
ونقل موقع «إكسيوس» عن الرئيس الأوكراني قوله: إن بلاده تحظى بدعم صريح من ترمب لضرب أهداف روسية مثل البنية التحتية للطاقة ومصانع الأسلحة، موضحاً أنه إذا حصلت بلاده على أسلحة إضافية بعيدة المدى من الولايات المتحدة، فستستخدمها لا محالة.
الاختباء في الملاجئ
ورأى زيلينسكي أنه على المسؤولين الروس الاختباء في أقرب ملجأ، إذا لم تتوقف الحرب قائلاً: «عليهم أن يعرفوا أماكن الملاجئ، لأنهم سيحتاجون إليها، إن لم يوقفوا الحرب».
وأشار إلى أن بلاده لن تقصف المدنيين، ملمحاً إلى إمكانية ضرب مراكز القوة الروسية، مثل الكرملين.
روسيا: لن تحميكم الملاجئ
بالمقابل، رد نائب رئيس مجلس الأمن الروسي دميتري ميدفيديف على الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي بالقول: على أن ما يحتاج زيلينسكي معرفته هو أن روسيا قادرة على استخدام أسلحة لا تحمي منها حتى الملاجئ، مضيفاً:«على الأمريكيين أيضاً أن يضعوا هذا في اعتبارهم».
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced today (Thursday) his readiness to step down after the war with Russia ends, explaining that he made a single request to U.S. President Donald Trump (on Tuesday) to force Russian President Vladimir Putin to sit at the negotiating table.
Trump's Support
Axios reported that the Ukrainian president stated his country has explicit support from Trump to strike Russian targets such as energy infrastructure and arms factories, clarifying that if his country receives additional long-range weapons from the United States, it will undoubtedly use them.
Hiding in Shelters
Zelensky noted that Russian officials should hide in the nearest shelter if the war does not stop, saying: "They need to know the locations of the shelters because they will need them if they do not stop the war."
He pointed out that his country will not bomb civilians, hinting at the possibility of striking Russian power centers, such as the Kremlin.
Russia: Shelters Won't Protect You
In response, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev replied to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky by saying that what Zelensky needs to understand is that Russia is capable of using weapons that even shelters cannot protect against, adding: "Americans should also keep this in mind."
