في حين أقر جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي باستهداف أكثر من 170 هدفاً خلال الـ24 ساعة الأخيرة في أنحاء قطاع غزة، أكد مصدر طبي فلسطيني مقتل 30 مدنياً منذ فجر اليوم (الخميس) في غارة إسرائيلية على عدة مناطق في غزة بينهم 4 من طالبي المساعدات.
وقال المصدر: «القصف استهدف مخيم الشاطئ غربي مدينة غزة، ومدينة دير البلح ومخيم البريج، وحي تل الهوى ومنطقة النفق ومدينة حمد ومنطقتي الجلاء والشيخ رضوان، مؤكداً أن كل هذه الأحياء والمناطق التي تعرضت للقصف سقط فيها قتلى وجرحى».
تفاقم الكارثة الإنسانية
من جهة أخرى، حذر المفوض العام لوكالة غوث وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين (الأونروا) فيليب لازاريني من أن ملايين من سكان قطاع غزة يواجهون خطر المجاعة وتفاقم الكارثة الإنسانية، ما لم يتم توفير دعم دولي عاجل، مشدداً على ضرورة اتخاذ إجراءات فورية للتعامل مع الوضع الإنساني المتدهور في القطاع.
وتفاقمت معاناة الأطفال الذين يعانون سوء التغذية جراء المجاعة التي تتفشى في القطاع مع إغلاق عدد من مراكز سوء التغذية داخل عدد من المستشفيات.
وأرجع مسؤولون وأطباء في غزة أسباب تفاقم أمراض سوء التغذية في القطاع المحاصر إلى وصول عمليات الجيش الإسرائيلي إلى المناطق التي توجد بها تلك مستشفيات وانعدام المستلزمات الطبية والأدوية والكوادر اللازمة لتشغيل تلك المراكز.
تحركات للعودة للمفاوضات
سياسياً، كشف قيادي في حركة حماس اتصالات مكثفة يجريها الوسطاء (مصر وقطر وأمريكا) لاستئناف مفاوضات وقف إطلاق النار في غزة، وتبادل الأسرى، من خلال العودة إلى المقترح الأمريكي الأخير الذي وافقت عليه حركة حماس.
وطرح الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، ومبعوثه إلى الشرق الأوسط ستيف ويتكوف، خطة من 21 نقطة، تهدف لإنهاء الحرب الإسرئيلية على غزة، وذلك خلال اجتماع مع قادة وممثلي 8 دول عربية وإسلامية، على هامش اجتماعات الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة.
While the Israeli occupation army acknowledged targeting more than 170 sites in the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours, a Palestinian medical source confirmed the death of 30 civilians since dawn today (Thursday) in an Israeli airstrike on several areas in Gaza, including 4 aid seekers.
The source stated: "The bombardment targeted the Al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City, the city of Deir al-Balah, the Al-Bureij camp, the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood, the tunnel area, the Hamad city, and the Al-Jalaa and Sheikh Radwan areas, confirming that all these neighborhoods and areas that were bombed saw casualties and injuries."
Escalating Humanitarian Catastrophe
On another note, the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, warned that millions of residents in the Gaza Strip are facing the risk of famine and an escalating humanitarian catastrophe unless urgent international support is provided, stressing the need for immediate action to address the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the enclave.
The suffering of children suffering from malnutrition has worsened due to the famine spreading in the area, with the closure of several malnutrition centers within various hospitals.
Officials and doctors in Gaza attributed the worsening malnutrition diseases in the besieged enclave to the Israeli army's operations reaching the areas where those hospitals are located, along with the lack of medical supplies, medications, and the necessary staff to operate those centers.
Moves to Return to Negotiations
Politically, a leader in Hamas revealed that intensive communications are being conducted by mediators (Egypt, Qatar, and the United States) to resume ceasefire negotiations in Gaza and the exchange of prisoners, by returning to the recent American proposal that Hamas agreed to.
U.S. President Donald Trump and his envoy to the Middle East, Steve Whitehead, proposed a 21-point plan aimed at ending the Israeli war on Gaza during a meeting with leaders and representatives of 8 Arab and Islamic countries on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings.
