The history and the Yemeni people will not forget the generous humanitarian and brotherly positions of the leadership and the Saudi people with them, placing them at the top of their priorities, standing by the Yemeni people in the face of all the challenges they encounter in their lives, and helping them overcome these challenges and rise again.
The Saudi role in supporting Yemenis—humanitarianly, politically, economically, and militarily—has formed a turning point in the future of that country, which has been exhausted by conflicts and war. The Saudi efforts have contributed to bridging the gap and uniting all Yemeni political forces in a way that contributes to achieving lasting and comprehensive peace, enhancing stability, and confronting the challenges facing Yemen and the region.
The Saudi leadership, represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, has spared no effort over decades to support the Yemeni people, starting from its significant efforts to prevent the country from slipping into the abyss of civil war, to its continuous and diligent endeavors to achieve comprehensive and lasting peace and its repeated calls for Yemeni factions to engage in dialogue and reconciliation over the past years.
For decades, Saudi Arabia has been a support for the Yemeni people in good times and bad, even pushing all its resources to assist Yemenis through humanitarian centers, programs, and projects it has established for Yemen and its people. It has become a source of hope for many families, contributing effectively and strongly to development, with its benefits reaching every home in cities and villages, on mountain tops, and in rugged areas. Additionally, it has provided hundreds of thousands of work visas for youth to alleviate the unemployment crisis and absorb them into the Saudi market, which is witnessing continuous growth and prosperity, surpassing major countries.
The Saudi efforts have not stopped at humanitarian aspects; they have also succeeded in bringing together the "legitimacy" factions under one agreement, which is the (Riyadh Agreement). Moreover, it has hosted Yemeni-Yemeni consultations. According to Yemeni observers, Saudi Arabia has been and remains the only entity working for the benefit of the Yemeni people and the higher interests of their country with complete neutrality and sincerity, offering everything it has to save its brothers from the clutches of death, disintegration, and wars.
The latest support this week was the directive from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz to provide the Kingdom with additional support amounting to 1.3 billion riyals as new economic development support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government.
One billion dollars in the Central Bank of Yemen in Sana'a in 2012
Two billion dollars in the Central Bank of Yemen in Aden in 2017
One billion dollars in support of the Presidential Leadership Council in 2022
400 million dollars for the development and reconstruction of Yemen through the Saudi program
1.3 billion Saudi economic support
Developmental support for the Yemeni government
Grants of petroleum derivatives worth 622 million dollars for electricity
1.2 billion dollars to address the budget deficit of the Yemeni government in 2023
