رحب الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم بن محمد البديوي، بإعلان كل من المملكة المتحدة وكندا وأستراليا اعترافها الرسمي بدولة فلسطين، مؤكداً أن هذه الخطوة تمثل تطوراً تاريخياً مهماً نحو تحقيق العدالة والشرعية الدولية، وتجسيداً لحق الشعب الفلسطيني غير القابل للتصرف في تقرير مصيره وإقامة دولته المستقلة على حدود الـ4 من يونيو 1967 وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية.
وأشاد البديوي بالمواقف الشجاعة لهذه الدول، التي تعكس التزاماً صادقاً بالقيم الإنسانية والعدالة الدولية، وتعيد الاعتبار لمبادئ القانون الدولي وقرارات الأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة، بما يسهم في تعزيز جهود المجتمع الدولي، لتحقيق السلام العادل والشامل في المنطقة، داعياً الدول التي لم تعترف بعد بدولة فلسطين، إلى أن تحذو حذو هذه الدول، وتعمل على تسريع الخطوات العملية لدعم حل الدولتين، بوصفه الخيار الوحيد الكفيل بإنهاء الصراع وإرساء الأمن والاستقرار في الشرق الأوسط.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, welcomed the announcement by the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia of their official recognition of the State of Palestine, affirming that this step represents an important historical development towards achieving justice and international legitimacy, and embodies the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Al-Budaiwi praised the courageous positions of these countries, which reflect a sincere commitment to humanitarian values and international justice, and restore the principles of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions, contributing to enhancing the international community's efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the region. He called on the countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to follow the example of these nations and to work on accelerating practical steps to support the two-state solution as the only option capable of ending the conflict and establishing security and stability in the Middle East.
