شهدت محافظة تعز اليمنية وقفة احتجاجية نسائية للتنديد بجريمة اغتيال مدير عام صندوق النظافة والتحسين أفتهان المشهري من قبل عصابة مسلحة، في جريمة تعد هي الأولى التي طالت مسؤولة يمنية وهزت الشارع اليمني عموما.
وطالبت النساء خلال الوقفة أمام مبنى قيادة الشرطة في المحافظة بسرعة إلقاء القبض على الجناة وتقديمهم للمحاكمة العاجلة حتى لا تموت العدالة.
وأبدت النساء المحتجات استنكارهن لحالة التدهور الأمني التي تشهدها المحافظة وتكرار حالات الاغتيالات التي طالت شخصيات سياسية ومسؤولين أمنيين دون القبض على مرتكبي بعض تلك الجرائم. وأعربن عن الصدمة التي تعيشها المدينة جراء جريمة اغتيال أفتهان المشهري التي عرفت بإخلاصها وتفانيها في القيام بمسؤولياتها وواجباتها في خدمة مدينة تعز. ولفت العديد من المشاركات في المظاهرة الاحتجاجية إلى بشاعة الجريمة التي تتنافى مع عادات وتقاليد المجتمع التي تحترم النساء وتوفر لهن وسائل الحماية.
من جهتها، أعلنت شرطة محافظة تعز، اليوم (الجمعة)، إلقاء القبض على أحد المتهمين الرئيسيين في جريمة اغتيال مديرة صندوق النظافة والتحسين بالمحافظة.
وأوضح مركز الإعلام الأمني أن عملية الضبط تمت بعد متابعة دقيقة. وأكد في الوقت ذاته استمرار الحملة الأمنية لتعقب بقية المتورطين في الجريمة، مشددا على أن الشرطة عازمة على تقديم جميع الجناة للعدالة.
The Yemeni governorate of Taiz witnessed a women's protest to condemn the assassination of the Director General of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund, Aftahan Al-Mashhari, by an armed gang, in a crime that is considered the first to target a Yemeni official and has shaken the Yemeni street in general.
During the protest in front of the police headquarters in the governorate, the women demanded the swift arrest of the perpetrators and their prompt trial so that justice does not die.
The protesting women expressed their condemnation of the deteriorating security situation in the governorate and the repeated assassination cases that have targeted political figures and security officials without the arrest of the perpetrators of some of those crimes. They expressed the shock that the city is experiencing due to the assassination of Aftahan Al-Mashhari, who was known for her dedication and commitment to her responsibilities and duties in serving the city of Taiz. Many participants in the protest highlighted the heinous nature of the crime, which contradicts the customs and traditions of a society that respects women and provides them with means of protection.
For its part, the Taiz governorate police announced today (Friday) the arrest of one of the main suspects in the assassination of the Director of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund in the governorate.
The Security Media Center explained that the arrest was made after careful monitoring. At the same time, it confirmed the continuation of the security campaign to track down the remaining individuals involved in the crime, emphasizing that the police are determined to bring all the perpetrators to justice.
