أعلن الأمن الداخلي في محافظة اللاذقية، اليوم (الجمعة)، القبض على النقيب منذر عباس ناصر، أحد قياديي الدفاع الوطني التابع لنظام الرئيس السابق بشار الأسد، مؤكدا أنه شارك في ارتكاب مجازر عديدة بحق المدنيين.
وقال قائد الأمن الداخلي في محافظة اللاذقية العميد عبدالعزيز هلال الأحمد، في بيان نشرته وزارة الداخلية السورية: نفّذت وحدات الأمن الداخلي في اللاذقية بالتعاون مع فرع مكافحة الإرهاب في المحافظة عملية أمنية نوعية، أسفرت عن إلقاء القبض على النقيب منذر عباس ناصر، المنحدر من مدينة بانياس بريف طرطوس، مضيفا: التحقيقات أظهرت أنّ المتهم كان قائدا في الدفاع الوطني، مقربا من الرئيس السابق بشار الأسد ووسيم الأسد، وشارك في ارتكاب مجازر عديدة بحق المدنيين العزّل في عدة محافظات أثناء الثورة السورية، وكان مرتبطا بتواصل مباشر مع قيادات مسلّحة خارج البلاد. ولفت إلى أن هذه العملية تؤكد عزم الوحدات الأمنية على كشف كل من يهدّد أمن الوطن واستقراره، وملاحقة كل من تلطخت يداه بجرائم ضد الشعب السوري، وتقديمه للعدالة دون تهاون أو تأخير.
The internal security forces in the Latakia governorate announced today (Friday) the arrest of Captain Munther Abbas Nasser, one of the leaders of the National Defense affiliated with the regime of former President Bashar al-Assad, confirming that he participated in committing numerous massacres against civilians.
Major General Abdulaziz Hilal Ahmad, the head of internal security in Latakia, stated in a statement published by the Syrian Ministry of Interior: "The internal security units in Latakia, in cooperation with the Anti-Terrorism Branch in the governorate, carried out a qualitative security operation that resulted in the arrest of Captain Munther Abbas Nasser, who hails from the city of Baniyas in the countryside of Tartus." He added: "Investigations revealed that the accused was a leader in the National Defense, close to former President Bashar al-Assad and Wisam al-Assad, and participated in committing numerous massacres against unarmed civilians in several governorates during the Syrian revolution. He was also in direct communication with armed leaders outside the country." He pointed out that this operation confirms the determination of the security units to uncover anyone who threatens the security and stability of the homeland, pursue anyone whose hands are stained with crimes against the Syrian people, and bring them to justice without leniency or delay.
