أعلن جهاز مكافحة الإرهاب العراقي، اليوم (الجمعة)، مقتل القيادي في تنظيم داعش الإرهابي عمر عبدالقادر بسام، المكنى بـ«عبدالرحمن الحلبي»، في عملية أمنية في سورية نفذت بالتنسيق مع التحالف الدولي بقيادة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.
مسؤول العمليات
ونقلت وكالة الأنباء العراقية «واع»، عن بيان صادر عن الجهاز، قال فيه: «تنفيذاً لتوجيهات القائد العام للقوات المسلحة وإسناد قيادة العمليات المشتركة وإشراف رئيس الجهاز، نعلن نجاح عملية نوعية جديدة أسفرت عن قتل الإرهابي عمر عبدالقادر بسام، المكنى بـ«عبدالرحمن الحلبي»، أحد أبرز قيادات عصابات تنظيم داعش الإرهابي، وذلك في عملية جرت فجر اليوم داخل الأراضي السورية بالتنسيق مع قوات التحالف الدولي».
وأفاد البيان أن الحلبي يشغل منصب مسؤول العمليات والأمن الخارجي، وتورط في التخطيط والإشراف على ما يسمى «الولايات البعيدة»، إضافة إلى ضلوعه المباشر في تفجير السفارة الإيرانية في لبنان، ومحاولات تنفيذ عمليات إرهابية أخرى في أوروبا والولايات المتحدة، تم إحباطها بجهود استخبارية دقيقة.
عملية نوعية
وأشار إلى أن هذه العملية النوعية جاءت ثمرة متابعة استخبارية دقيقة ودعم قضائي عراقي استمر لعدة أشهر، تمكن خلالها أفراد الجهاز من تحديد تحركات الهدف ومكان وجوده، ليتم تنفيذ الضربة الجوية من قبل قوات التحالف الدولي وتحييده نهائيا.
وأكد جهاز مكافحة الإرهاب العراقي أن هذه الضربة تمثل خسارة إستراتيجية كبرى للإرهاب. ويأتي القضاء على «الحلبي» بعد سلسلة من العمليات الناجحة خلال الشهرين الماضيين، أسفرت عن قتل أكثر من 6 قياديين من الصف الأول لـ«داعش».

The Iraqi News Agency "INA" reported a statement issued by the service, which said: "In implementation of the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the support of the Joint Operations Command and under the supervision of the head of the service, we announce the success of a new qualitative operation that resulted in the killing of the terrorist Omar Abdulqader Bassam, known as 'Abdulrahman Al-Halabi,' one of the most prominent leaders of the ISIS terrorist organization, in an operation that took place early this morning within Syrian territory in coordination with the international coalition forces."
The statement indicated that Al-Halabi holds the position of Operations and External Security Official and was involved in planning and supervising what is called the "distant provinces," in addition to his direct involvement in the bombing of the Iranian embassy in Lebanon and attempts to carry out other terrorist operations in Europe and the United States, which were thwarted by precise intelligence efforts.
Qualitative Operation
It noted that this qualitative operation was the result of precise intelligence monitoring and ongoing Iraqi judicial support that lasted for several months, during which the service's personnel were able to identify the target's movements and location, leading to the execution of an airstrike by the international coalition forces, neutralizing him permanently.
The Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service confirmed that this strike represents a major strategic loss for terrorism. The elimination of "Al-Halabi" follows a series of successful operations over the past two months, resulting in the killing of more than 6 first-tier leaders of "ISIS."
