رحب وزير الإعلام والثقافة والسياحة اليمني معمر الإرياني بإطلاق مبادرة الشراكة اليمنية للأمن البحري (YMSP)، برعاية كريمة من المملكة العربية السعودية والمملكة المتحدة، وبمشاركة أكثر من 30 دولة و5 منظمات دولية، لحشد الدعم وتعزيز قدرات خفر السواحل اليمني.
وكتب الإرياني على حسابه في «إكس»: هذه المبادرة الإستراتيجية تعكس التزام الشركاء الدوليين بدعم اليمن في مواجهة مختلف التهديدات، وتمثل نقلة نوعية لتعزيز الأمن البحري، وحماية طرق التجارة الدولية، ومكافحة القرصنة والتهريب، ودعم التنمية الاقتصادية المستدامة في اليمن والمنطقة.

وثمن الإرياني الجهود السعودية قائلاً: «نثمن عالياً هذا الجهد الدولي الكبير، ونخص بالشكر والتقدير المملكة العربية السعودية والمملكة المتحدة على قيادتهما لهذا المسار الحيوي، الذي يجسد شراكة مسؤولة واستشرافاً لمستقبل أكثر أمناً واستقراراً لليمن والمنطقة والعالم».

من جهتها، قالت السفارة البريطانية في اليمن على حسابها في «إكس»: حظي خفر السواحل اليمني اليوم على دعم دولي في الرياض لتعزيز الأمن البحري وتطوير قدراته في مهام إنفاذ القانون، معربة عن شكرها للمانحين على دعمهم المستمر.
وأشارت إلى أن المملكة العربية السعودية والمملكة المتحدة تقودان جهوداً منسقة لمكافحة التهريب والقرصنة والاتجار بالبشر.

فيما، كتبت السفيرة البريطانية عبده شريف على حسابه في «إكس»: المملكة المتحدة ملتزمة بدعم خفر السواحل والحكومة اليمنية، موضحة أن التعهدات السخية التي شهدناها اليوم تعكس حجم الدعم الدولي لليمن.
وثمنت شريف الدعم السعودي المتواصل، قائلة: «امتناني للمملكة العربية السعودية على دعمها المتواصل، ولشركائنا الدوليين على مشاركتهم وتعاونهم».
The Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, welcomed the launch of the Yemeni Maritime Security Partnership (YMSP), under the generous sponsorship of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, with the participation of more than 30 countries and 5 international organizations, to mobilize support and enhance the capabilities of the Yemeni Coast Guard.
Al-Eryani wrote on his account on "X": This strategic initiative reflects the commitment of international partners to support Yemen in facing various threats, and represents a qualitative leap to enhance maritime security, protect international trade routes, combat piracy and smuggling, and support sustainable economic development in Yemen and the region.

Al-Eryani praised the Saudi efforts, saying: "We highly appreciate this significant international effort, and we specifically thank and appreciate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom for their leadership of this vital pathway, which embodies a responsible partnership and a vision for a safer and more stable future for Yemen, the region, and the world."

For its part, the British Embassy in Yemen stated on its account on "X": The Yemeni Coast Guard received international support today in Riyadh to enhance maritime security and develop its capabilities in law enforcement tasks, expressing its gratitude to the donors for their continued support.
It noted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom are leading coordinated efforts to combat smuggling, piracy, and human trafficking.

Meanwhile, British Ambassador Abda Sharif wrote on her account on "X": The United Kingdom is committed to supporting the Coast Guard and the Yemeni government, clarifying that the generous pledges we witnessed today reflect the extent of international support for Yemen.
Sharif appreciated the ongoing Saudi support, saying: "I am grateful to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continuous support, and to our international partners for their participation and cooperation."
