The "Message of Islam" conference concluded its sixth session in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, with the announcement of awarding Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman the "Global Peace Leader" award, in recognition of his efforts in serving Islam and Muslims, defending the issues of the nation, and promoting security, stability, and global peace.

The announcement came at the end of the conference, which was held under the patronage of Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, and attended by Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, along with a number of senior officials, scholars, thinkers, and ambassadors of Arab and Islamic countries.

Shahbaz Sharif: Saudi-Pakistani relations are historical and solid

During his speech, Shahbaz Sharif affirmed the depth of Saudi-Pakistani relations, praising the role of the leadership of both countries in serving Islam and Muslims, combating violence, extremism, and terrorism, and promoting security and peace in the region and the world.

He expressed his appreciation for the support provided by the Kingdom, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to Pakistan in various circumstances, commending the personal relationship he shares with the Crown Prince.

Praise for the Saudi role in Palestine and the region

The conference featured speeches that emphasized the importance of the Saudi-Pakistani role in supporting the Palestinian cause and enhancing opportunities for peace and stability in the Middle East, alongside supporting the unity and stability of several Arab and Islamic countries.

The Palestinian President's advisor, Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Habbash, praised the Saudi-Pakistani support for Palestine, while the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, commended the steadfast Saudi positions regarding the Palestinian cause.

The conference also discussed 10 main axes, focusing on the efforts of the Kingdom and Pakistan in serving Islam and Muslims, promoting moderation and balance, supporting development and stability, and combating extremism and terrorism.

Support for the Joint Strategic Defense Agreement

The participants emphasized the importance of the Joint Strategic Defense Agreement between the Kingdom and Pakistan, considering it a model for brotherly relations and security and military cooperation between the two countries, and a support for the security and stability of the region.

The conference also stressed the importance of Pakistani mediation and efforts for a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, and pushing towards political and negotiation solutions to settle disputes.

Support for the Crown Prince's Two-State Solution Vision

The conference highlighted the participants' support for Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s vision regarding the two-state solution, emphasizing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative.

The participants also affirmed their rejection of attacks on the Palestinian people and called for the protection of Islamic sanctities and support for the rights of Palestinians.

"Global Peace Leader"

At the conclusion of the conference, the Chairman of the Council of Scholars of Pakistan, Sheikh Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, announced the awarding of the "Global Peace Leader" award to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in recognition of his efforts in serving the Two Holy Mosques and the pilgrims and Umrah performers, supporting the issues of the nation, combating extremism and terrorism, and promoting global security and peace.

Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif presented the award to the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Pakistan, Nawaf Al-Maliki, during the closing ceremony of the conference.
