في تصريحات مثيرة للجدل أدلى بها الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، اليوم (الجمعة)، أعرب عن استنزاف صبره تجاه الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين بشأن الحرب في أوكرانيا، لكنه توقف عند حد التهديد بفرض عقوبات جديدة.

وفي مقابلة مع شبكة فوكس نيوز، أكد ترمب أنه كانت لديه علاقة جيدة طويلة الأمد مع بوتين، لكنه أبدى إحباطه من فشل الأخير في إنهاء النزاع.
وقال ترمب: نحن سنضطر إلى التصرف بقوة شديدة جداً، مشيراً إلى أن العقوبات على البنوك والنفط، إضافة إلى الرسوم الجمركية، خيارات متاحة، لكن الدول الأوروبية يجب أن تشارك أيضاً.
رسوم جمركية على الهند للضغط على بوتين
وأضاف: لقد فعلت ذلك بالفعل، لقد فعلت الكثير، مشدداً على أن الهند -أحد أكبر مشتري النفط الروسي- تواجه حالياً رسوماً جمركية بنسبة 50% على صادراتها إلى الولايات المتحدة.
وأوضح لبرنامج فوكس آند فريندز: «هذا ليس أمراً سهلاً، إنه أمر كبير ويسبب خلافاً مع الهند، وتذكروا هذه مشكلة أوروبية أكثر بكثير من مشكلتنا».
تصاعد التوتر بين روسيا وأوكرانيا
يأتي هذا التصريح في سياق تصعيد التوترات حول الحرب في أوكرانيا، إذ أفادت تقارير بأن روسيا أجرت تدريبات عسكرية كبيرة قرب حدود دول الناتو، بما في ذلك اختراق طائرات بدون طيار للأجواء البولندية، مما يعكس استمرار التصعيد.
وكان ترمب قد عقد لقاءات سابقة مع بوتين في ألاسكا في أغسطس 2025، إذ ناقشا إمكانية اتفاق سلام، لكن التقدم بطيء حتى الآن.

Trump said: "We will have to act very strongly," pointing out that sanctions on banks and oil, in addition to tariffs, are available options, but European countries must also participate.
Tariffs on India to Pressure Putin
He added: "I have already done that, I have done a lot," emphasizing that India - one of the largest buyers of Russian oil - currently faces a 50% tariff on its exports to the United States.
He explained on Fox & Friends: "This is not an easy thing, it’s a big deal and it causes a rift with India, and remember this is a much bigger European problem than it is our problem."
Escalating Tensions Between Russia and Ukraine
This statement comes amid escalating tensions surrounding the war in Ukraine, as reports indicate that Russia has conducted large military exercises near NATO borders, including drone incursions into Polish airspace, reflecting the ongoing escalation.
Trump had previously held meetings with Putin in Alaska in August 2025, where they discussed the possibility of a peace agreement, but progress has been slow so far.
