عرض مكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي (FBI)، مكافأة تصل إلى 100,000 دولار أمريكي لمن يدلي بمعلومات تؤدي إلى تحديد هوية الشخص أو الأشخاص المسؤولين عن مقتل تشارلي كيرك، في جامعة يوتا.
كما نشر «التحقيقات الفيدرالي»، صورتين على منصة إكس لشخص يشتبه في إطلاقه النار على الناشط اليميني كيرك.
وقال إنه وجد البندقية التي نفذ بها المتهم عملية إطلاق النار وحصل كذلك على بصمة القدم.
وأعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، أن الناشط كيرك سيحصل على أعلى وسام مدني «وسام الحرية».
وقال ترمب، في خطاب بمناسبة ذكرى أحداث 11 سبتمبر، إن كثيرا من الأمريكيين حزينون على مقتل تشارلي كيرك وسأمنحه وسام الحرية قريبًا.
كان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أعلن، مساء الأربعاء، وفاة الناشط المحافظ تشارلي كيرك، متأثراً بجراحه بعد تعرضه لإطلاق نار خلال فعالية بجامعة وادي يوتا.
وكتب ترمب على منصته «تروث سوشيال»: لقد توفي تشارلي كيرك العظيم، الأسطوري. لم يفهم أحد أو يمتلك قلب الشباب في الولايات المتحدة أكثر منه، كان محط إعجاب الجميع، وخصوصا أنا، والآن رحل عنا".
وبحسب وسائل الإعلام الأمريكية، كان كيرك، الرئيس التنفيذي والمؤسس المشارك لمنظمة Turning Point USA، يشارك في مناظرة داخل الحرم الجامعي حين أُطلق عليه النار.
وقبل الحادثة، شهدت جامعة وادي يوتا جدلاً واسعاً حول مشاركة كيرك، حيث وقع أكثر من ألف شخص على عريضة إلكترونية تطالب بمنعه، متهمين إياه بـ«تأجيج الانقسام» بخطابه السياسي.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has offered a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the identification of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Charlie Kirk at the University of Utah.
The FBI also posted two images on X of a person suspected of shooting the right-wing activist Kirk.
It stated that the firearm used in the shooting was found, and a footprint was also obtained.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that activist Kirk would receive the highest civilian honor, the "Medal of Freedom."
Trump said in a speech commemorating the events of September 11 that many Americans are saddened by the murder of Charlie Kirk and that he will award him the Medal of Freedom soon.
On Wednesday evening, President Donald Trump announced the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who succumbed to his injuries after being shot during an event at Utah Valley University.
Trump wrote on his platform "Truth Social": "The great, legendary Charlie Kirk has died. No one understood or had the heart of young people in the United States more than him. He was admired by all, especially me, and now he is gone."
According to U.S. media, Kirk, the CEO and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was participating in a campus debate when he was shot.
Prior to the incident, Utah Valley University had witnessed widespread controversy over Kirk's participation, with more than a thousand people signing an online petition calling for him to be banned, accusing him of "fomenting division" with his political rhetoric.
