أعلن مكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي (FBI) العثور على السلاح الذي استُخدم في اغتيال الناشط الأمريكي المحافظ تشارلي كيرك، الذي قُتل أمس (الأربعاء) برصاصة في عنقه خلال فعالية بجامعة يوتا فالي.
ورجّح المكتب أن المشتبه به شاب في سنّ طلاب الجامعة، فيما لا تزال عمليات المطاردة مستمرة وسط تعزيزات أمنية واسعة.
مطاردة القنّاص الهارب
وقالت شرطة ولاية يوتا إن مطلق النار نجح في الفرار باتجاه مناطق سكنية قريبة من موقع الجريمة، مؤكدة أنها تتابع تحركاته عبر تسجيلات فيديو وشهادات الحاضرين.
كما أوضح مفوض إدارة السلامة العامة بو ماسون أن التحقيقات والمطاردة لا تزال جارية على مدار الساعة.
رسالة ترمب وردود الفعل الرسمية
في رسالة مصوّرة من المكتب البيضاوي، تعهّد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب بملاحقة منفّذ عملية الاغتيال وكل من يقف خلفه، واصفًا الحادثة بأنها «عمل وحشي لن يمر دون حساب».
أما حاكم ولاية يوتا سبنسر كوكس، فقد وصف ما حدث بأنه «اغتيال سياسي»، مؤكّدًا أن السلطات ستتعامل معه بأقصى درجات الجدية.

يُعد كيرك (31 عامًا) من أبرز وجوه التيار المحافظ الأمريكي، واشتهر بخطاباته الحماسية وسط الشباب الجامعي.
وقد أسس عام 2012 منظمة «Turning Point USA» التي تهدف إلى نشر الأفكار اليمينية بين طلاب الجامعات، كما كان من أبرز المدافعين عن سياسات الرئيس ترمب، معتمدًا على متابعته الواسعة على منصات مثل إنستغرام ويوتيوب.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced that the weapon used in the assassination of conservative American activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot in the neck during an event at Utah Valley University yesterday (Wednesday), has been found.
The bureau suggested that the suspect is a young man of college age, while the manhunt continues amid extensive security reinforcements.

Utah state police stated that the shooter managed to escape towards residential areas near the crime scene, confirming that they are tracking his movements through video recordings and testimonies from witnesses.
Public Safety Commissioner Bo Mason clarified that the investigations and manhunt are ongoing around the clock.

In a video message from the Oval Office, President Donald Trump pledged to pursue the perpetrator of the assassination and anyone behind it, describing the incident as a "brutal act that will not go unpunished."
Utah Governor Spencer Cox described what happened as a "political assassination," emphasizing that the authorities will treat it with the utmost seriousness.

Kirk (31 years old) is considered one of the prominent figures of the American conservative movement, known for his passionate speeches among college students.
