أكّدت السفارة السورية في موسكو أن الرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع سيترأس وفد البلاد إلى القمة الروسية العربية التي ستعقد في موسكو يوم 15 أكتوبر القادم.
وذكرت السفارة في بيان: «كما أعلن خلال المؤتمر الصحفي لنائب رئيس الوزراء الروسي ألكسندر نوفاك ووزير الخارجية السوري أسعد الشيباني في دمشق، ستشارك سورية في القمة الروسية العربية القادمة، وسيترأس الوفد رئيس الجمهورية».
قمة عربيةـ روسية
يذكر أن أول قمة روسية عربية ستعقد في موسكو يوم 15 أكتوبر، ومن المتوقع أن يشارك فيها ممثلون عن الدول العربية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، وكذلك دول شرق أفريقيا الأعضاء في جامعة الدول العربية.
وكان المتحدث باسم الكرملين دميتري بيسكوف قد صرّح في وقت سابق أن روسيا وجهت دعوة رسمية للسلطات السورية الجديدة لحضور القمة، في حين قالت وزارة الخارجية الروسية إن معظم الدول العربية أبدت اهتماماً بالمشاركة في هذا الحدث السياسي البارز.
وأبدت روسيا استعدادها لمساندة جهود إعادة تأهيل قطاع الطاقة في سورية، وتقديم المساعدة في المجال الإنساني عبر مشاريع لتزويد البلاد بالوقود والغذاء والأدوية.
اللجنة الروسية ـ السورية المشتركة
وأكدت الحكومة الروسية أن نائب رئيس الوزراء الروسي ألكسندر نوفاك، اقترح استئناف عمل اللجنة الحكومية المشتركة للتعاون التجاري والاقتصادي، مشيداً بدورها كإطار منظم للتعاون بين موسكو ودمشق.
وأشار إلى أن المباحثات تناولت مجالات عدة، بينها الثقافة والعلم والتعليم، لافتاً إلى أن نحو أربعة آلاف طالب يدرسون حالياً في الجامعات الروسية.
وأكد نوفاك أن روابط الصداقة والشراكة بين سورية وروسيا راسخة، وقائمة على الاحترام المتبادل والمصالح المشتركة، معرباً عن أمله في أن تشهد المرحلة القادمة تطوراً نوعياً في العلاقات الثنائية.

The Syrian embassy in Moscow confirmed that Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara will head the country's delegation to the Russian-Arab summit to be held in Moscow on October 15.
The embassy stated in a statement: "As announced during the press conference by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani in Damascus, Syria will participate in the upcoming Russian-Arab summit, and the delegation will be headed by the President of the Republic."
Russian-Arab Summit
It is noted that the first Russian-Arab summit will be held in Moscow on October 15, and it is expected that representatives from Arab countries in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as East African countries that are members of the Arab League, will participate.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia had officially invited the new Syrian authorities to attend the summit, while the Russian Foreign Ministry indicated that most Arab countries had expressed interest in participating in this significant political event.
Russia has expressed its readiness to support efforts to rehabilitate the energy sector in Syria and provide humanitarian assistance through projects to supply the country with fuel, food, and medicine.
Russian-Syrian Joint Committee
The Russian government confirmed that Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak proposed to resume the work of the joint governmental committee for trade and economic cooperation, praising its role as an organized framework for cooperation between Moscow and Damascus.
He noted that the discussions covered several areas, including culture, science, and education, pointing out that about four thousand students are currently studying at Russian universities.
Novak affirmed that the bonds of friendship and partnership between Syria and Russia are solid and based on mutual respect and common interests, expressing hope that the upcoming phase will witness a qualitative development in bilateral relations.
