بعد انسحاب وزراء الثنائي الشيعي (حزب الله وحركة أمل) من جلسة الحكومة المخصصة لمناقشة حصر السلاح بيد الدولة، التي هدفها إقرار خطة لنزع سلاح الحزب وتسليمه للجيش، وصف مسؤول في حزب الله اللبناني، اليوم (السبت)، جلسة مجلس الوزراء أمس بأنها «فرصة للعودة إلى الحكمة والعقل».
وقال مسؤول حزب الله محمود قماطي في تصريحات صحفية إن الحزب يعتبر أن جلسة مجلس الوزراء أمس تتيح الفرصة للعودة إلى الحكمة والعقل، منعاً من انزلاق البلد إلى المجهول، مشيراً إلى أن استمرار العمليات العسكرية الإسرائيلية في لبنان سيعيق تقدم الجيش.
إلتزام إسرائيل
وأضاف قماطي أن حزب الله توصل إلى تقييمه بناءً على ما أعلنته الحكومة أمس، بأن تنفيذ خارطة طريق أمريكية في هذا الشأن مرهون بالتزام إسرائيل، مبيناً أنه ما لم توقف إسرائيل غاراتها وتسحب قواتها من جنوب لبنان، فإن تنفيذ الخطة يجب أن يبقى معلقاً حتى إشعار آخر.
ورحب مجلس الوزراء اللبناني أمس بخطة الجيش لنزع سلاح حزب الله، موضحاً أن الجيش سيبدأ في تنفيذها دون أن يحدد إطاراً زمنياً لذلك، لكنه أشار إلى أن قدرات الجيش محدودة في هذا المجال.
وكان مجلس الوزراء اللبناني قد كلف الشهر الماضي الجيش بوضع خطة لحصر السلاح بيد الدولة، ووافق على خارطة طريق أمريكية تهدف إلى نزع سلاح حزب الله مقابل وقف العمليات العسكرية الإسرائيلية في لبنان.
After the withdrawal of the ministers from the Shiite duo (Hezbollah and Amal Movement) from the government session dedicated to discussing the restriction of arms to the state, which aimed to approve a plan for disarming the party and handing over its weapons to the army, a Lebanese Hezbollah official described the cabinet session yesterday as "an opportunity to return to wisdom and reason."
Hezbollah official Mahmoud Qamati stated in press remarks that the party believes that yesterday's cabinet session provides an opportunity to return to wisdom and reason, in order to prevent the country from slipping into the unknown, pointing out that the continuation of Israeli military operations in Lebanon will hinder the army's progress.
Israel's Commitment
Qamati added that Hezbollah reached its assessment based on what the government announced yesterday, that the implementation of an American roadmap in this regard is contingent upon Israel's commitment, indicating that unless Israel stops its airstrikes and withdraws its forces from southern Lebanon, the implementation of the plan should remain suspended until further notice.
The Lebanese cabinet welcomed the army's plan to disarm Hezbollah yesterday, clarifying that the army will begin implementing it without specifying a timeframe for doing so, but noted that the army's capabilities in this area are limited.
Last month, the Lebanese cabinet tasked the army with developing a plan to restrict arms to the state and approved an American roadmap aimed at disarming Hezbollah in exchange for halting Israeli military operations in Lebanon.
