نفى الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب الشائعات المنتشرة على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي حول صحته، التي انتشرت لأيام، واصفا إياها بـ«الأخبار الكاذبة»، خلال مؤتمر صحفي عقده في البيت الأبيض اليوم (الثلاثاء).
وقال ترمب البالغ من العمر 79 عاما: «لم أرَ ذلك»، ردا على ما أخبره به أحد المراسلين من تكهنات واسعة النطاق على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، بما في ذلك حساب «إكس»، بأنه في حالة صحية سيئة، بل إن بعض المستخدمين أشاروا إلى وفاته، بعد غيابه عن وسائل الإعلام لعدة أيام، ليرد ترمب: «هذه أخبار كاذبة».
وعن الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، أكد ترمب في مقابلة إذاعية، أنّه يشعر «بخيبة أمل كبيرة» تجاهه، بعد فشل لقائهما في ألاسكا بتحقيق تقدم ملموس بشأن إنهاء الحرب في أوكرانيا، مضيفا: «آلاف الأشخاص يموتون، إنها حرب لا معنى لها». مؤكدا: «سأقوم بعمل ما لمساعدة الناس على العيش». وأشار ترمب إلى أنه «غير قلق من تشكيل روسيا والصين محورا ضد الولايات المتحدة».
U.S. President Donald Trump denied the rumors circulating on social media about his health, which had spread for days, describing them as "fake news," during a press conference held at the White House today (Tuesday).
Trump, who is 79 years old, said: "I haven't seen that," in response to what one of the reporters told him about widespread speculation on social media, including on the "X" platform, that he was in poor health, with some users even suggesting he had died after being absent from the media for several days, to which Trump replied: "This is fake news."
Regarding Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump confirmed in a radio interview that he feels "great disappointment" towards him, after their meeting in Alaska failed to achieve tangible progress in ending the war in Ukraine, adding: "Thousands of people are dying; it's a meaningless war." He emphasized: "I will do what I can to help people live." Trump also noted that he is "not concerned about the formation of a Russia-China axis against the United States."
