Rumors about the health of 79-year-old American President Donald Trump have escalated in recent days, following his absence from the public eye and signs of fatigue in recent photos.



Photos showing bruises on his hands and swelling in his ankles have sparked a wave of speculation, reaching a peak with the spread of hashtags on the X platform, where over 158,000 posts containing the phrase "Trump is dead" and 42,000 posts with the phrase "Trump has died" were recorded by last Saturday morning.

The White House announced that Trump will hold a surprise press conference today (Tuesday) at 2 PM Washington time (9 PM Saudi time), which the "Daily Beast" described as mysterious, without revealing details of the announcement, raising further questions about whether he will address the rumors regarding his health.

In July 2025, White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt announced that Trump is suffering from chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition common among the elderly that leads to poor blood flow from the limbs to the heart, causing swelling in the legs and ankles and the appearance of bruises.

Trump's doctor, Dr. Sean Barbabella, clarified that the bruises on the president's hand are due to mild soft tissue inflammation from repeated handshakes and the use of aspirin as part of a cardiac prevention regimen.

Medical examinations, including blood tests and an electrocardiogram, confirmed that Trump does not have blood clots or arterial diseases and is in excellent health.

In April 2025, the White House issued a medical report following a comprehensive examination of Trump, which included a neurological assessment using the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), concluding that the president is in excellent health and fully qualified to perform the duties of Commander-in-Chief.



The report also revealed that he had previously undergone surgery to remove a cataract and noted scars on his right ear from a gunshot injury during an assassination attempt in 2024.

Speculation about Trump's health intensified after his absence from public appearances since the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, as his schedule did not include any public events during the Labor Day holiday.

Media reports highlighted Trump's absence, sparking a wave of questions on the X platform, where conspiracy theories spread, including claims that the person seen in golf photos might be a Trump lookalike and not the president himself.

Trump responded to these rumors in a post on his "Truth Social" platform last Sunday, stating, "I have never felt better in my life," noting that Washington has become a crime-free zone, in an attempt to divert attention from health speculations.

Trump was also seen on Saturday and Sunday on his way to the National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, accompanied by his grandchildren Kai and Spencer, in an effort to dispel the rumors.
