فيما تؤكد مصادر عسكرية لبنانية استمرار الجيش تنفيذ قرار سحب السلاح من المخيمات الفلسطينية، والذي أقرته الحكومة سابقاً واستلامه اليوم (الخميس) أكبر عملية جمع للسلاح منذ نهاية الحرب الأهلية، أعلنت حركة «فتح» الفلسطينية، تسليم شحنة أسلحة إلى الجيش اللبناني عند مدخل مخيم الرشيدية في مدينة صور جنوب لبنان.
وقال المتحدث باسم الرئاسة الفلسطينية نبيل أبو ردينة إن الجهات الفلسطينية سلمت اليوم، الدفعة الثانية من سلاح منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية في المخيمات بلبنان إلى الجيش اللبناني، موضحاً أن المخيمات التي سلمت سلاحها هي الرشيدية، والبص، والبرج الشمالي في مدينة صور، على أن تستكمل عمليات التسليم لبقية المخيمات تباعاً.
وأكدت الوكالة الوطنية اللبنانية للأنباء بدء عملية تسليم السلاح في المخيمات الثلاثة، مبينة أن سبع شاحنات خرجت تحمل أسلحة خفيفة، وقذائف صاروخية من المخيمات ودخولها ثكنة تابعة للجيش اللبناني.
وكان سلاح «حركة فتح» في مخيم برج البراجنة ببيروت قد جرى تسليمه إلى الجيش اللبناني، الخميس الماضي، ضمن المرحلة الأولى من مسار تسليم أسلحة المخيمات الفلسطينية في لبنان.
من جهة أخرى، يصوّت مجلس الأمن الدولي، اليوم (الخميس)، على تمديد مهمة قوات حفظ السلام التابعة للأمم المتحدة (اليونيفيل) في لبنان حتى نهاية ديسمبر 2026.
وذكرت مصادر دبلوماسية أن التمديد سيكون لمرة واحدة فقط، إلى 31 ديسمبر 2026، مضيفة أنه بعد هذا التاريخ ستنسحب قوات اليونيفيل بالكامل على مدار 12 شهراً.
While Lebanese military sources confirm the army's continued implementation of the decision to withdraw weapons from Palestinian camps, which was previously approved by the government, and the largest weapon collection operation since the end of the civil war is taking place today (Thursday), the Palestinian "Fatah" movement announced the delivery of a shipment of weapons to the Lebanese army at the entrance of the Rashidiya camp in the city of Tyre, southern Lebanon.
Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh stated that the Palestinian authorities delivered today the second batch of weapons from the Palestine Liberation Organization in the camps in Lebanon to the Lebanese army, explaining that the camps that handed over their weapons are Rashidiya, Bass, and the Northern Burj in the city of Tyre, with the delivery operations for the remaining camps to continue subsequently.
The Lebanese National News Agency confirmed the start of the weapon delivery process in the three camps, indicating that seven trucks left carrying light weapons and rocket shells from the camps to a barracks belonging to the Lebanese army.
The weapons of the "Fatah" movement in the Burj al-Barajneh camp in Beirut were handed over to the Lebanese army last Thursday, as part of the first phase of the process of delivering weapons from the Palestinian camps in Lebanon.
On another note, the United Nations Security Council will vote today (Thursday) on extending the mandate of the United Nations peacekeeping forces (UNIFIL) in Lebanon until the end of December 2026.
Diplomatic sources indicated that the extension will be for one time only, until December 31, 2026, adding that after this date, UNIFIL forces will withdraw completely over a period of 12 months.
