The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed today (Wednesday) its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack carried out by Israeli occupation forces on the Al-Kisweh area, which resulted in the death of 6 soldiers from the Syrian army.

The ministry stated in a statement: Syria expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack carried out by a drone belonging to the Israeli occupation forces targeting the Syrian army near the city of Al-Kisweh in the Damascus countryside, which resulted in the death of 6 soldiers from the army. It emphasized that this attack constitutes a serious violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, and represents a clear breach of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The ministry added: The attack comes in the context of the repeated aggressive policies pursued by the Israeli occupation aimed at undermining security and stability in the region, reaffirming its commitment to its legitimate right to defend its land and people in accordance with the provisions of international law.

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community and the Security Council to assume their legal and moral responsibilities in putting an end to these repeated attacks and to work on obligating the Israeli occupation authorities to stop their ongoing violations against Syria, its people, and its national institutions.

A Syrian military source had told Syrian state television that 6 members of the Ministry of Defense were killed after being targeted by drones belonging to the Israeli occupation near the city of Al-Kisweh in the Damascus countryside today, explaining that units of the army were conducting maneuvers with armored weapons in Jabal Al-Mani' within a military site near the village of Deir Ali before the Israeli bombing.
