أعلنت وزارة الدفاع الروسية، اليوم (الأحد)، إتمام عملية تبادل 292 أسيراً بالمناصفة مع أوكرانيا، مؤكدة أن عملية التبادل جاءت بوساطة إماراتية.
وذكرت وزارة الدفاع الروسية، في بيان، أنه في 24 أغسطس تمّت إعادة 146 عسكرياً روسياً من الأراضي الأوكرانية، وبالمقابل، تم تسليم 146 أسيراً من القوات الأوكرانية، موضحة أنه، إضافة إلى ذلك، تمّت إعادة 8 مواطنين روس من سكان مقاطعة كورسك، كانوا محتجزين بشكل غير قانوني من قِبل كييف، وسيُعادون إلى ديارهم.
وأشار البيان إلى أن العسكريين الروس يتواجدون حالياً على أراضي بيلاروسيا، ويتلقّون الدعم النفسي والطبي اللازم، وسيُنقَلون إلى روسيا للخضوع للعلاج وإعادة التأهيل في المؤسسات الطبية التابعة لوزارة الدفاع الروسية.
من جانبها، أعلنت وزارة الخارجية الإماراتية نجاح جهودها في الوساطة بين روسيا وأوكرانيا، بالتوصل إلى تبادل جديد شمل 146 أسيراً من كل جانب، ليبلغ مجموع الأسرى الذين تمّ تبادلهم عبر الوساطات الإماراتية 4641 أسيراً. وأعربت عن شكرها للبلدين الصديقين على تعاونهما في إنجاح جهود الوساطة الإماراتية، ما يعكس تقديرهما لدولة الإمارات كوسيط موثوق يعمل على دعم المساعي الرامية إلى حلّ الأزمة بين البلدين.
يأتي ذلك فيما تتواصل الجهود الأمريكية لمناقشة الضمانات الأمنية لأوكرانيا وسبل وقف الحرب الروسية الأوكرانية.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today (Sunday) the completion of the exchange of 292 prisoners equally with Ukraine, confirming that the exchange process was mediated by the UAE.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated in a statement that on August 24, 146 Russian soldiers were returned from Ukrainian territory, and in return, 146 prisoners from the Ukrainian forces were handed over. It clarified that, in addition, 8 Russian citizens from the Kursk region, who were illegally detained by Kyiv, were also returned to their homes.
The statement indicated that the Russian soldiers are currently on the territory of Belarus, receiving the necessary psychological and medical support, and they will be transferred to Russia for treatment and rehabilitation in medical institutions affiliated with the Russian Ministry of Defense.
For its part, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the success of its mediation efforts between Russia and Ukraine, resulting in a new exchange that included 146 prisoners from each side, bringing the total number of prisoners exchanged through UAE mediation to 4,641. It expressed its gratitude to the two friendly countries for their cooperation in making the UAE's mediation efforts successful, reflecting their appreciation for the UAE as a reliable mediator working to support efforts aimed at resolving the crisis between the two countries.
This comes as American efforts continue to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine and ways to stop the Russian-Ukrainian war.
