كشفت صحيفة «وول ستريت جورنال» أن وزارة الدفاع الأمريكية (البنتاغون) فرضت قيوداً على أوكرانيا بشأن استخدام صواريخ أمريكية بعيدة المدى لضرب أهداف داخل روسيا.
ونقلت عن مسؤولين قولهم: «إن آلية الموافقة داخل «البنتاغون» حالت دون تمكّن أوكرانيا من إطلاق أي من صواريخ ATACMS الأمريكية بعيدة المدى ضد أهداف في روسيا منذ أواخر الربيع الماضي». وأفصح اثنان من المسؤولين أن كييف طلبت مرة واحدة على الأقل استخدام هذه الصواريخ ضد هدف داخل الأراضي الروسية، لكن طلبها قوبل بالرفض.
وتمنح «آلية المراجعة» للفصل في طلبات كييف استخدام الأسلحة بعيدة المدى وزير الدفاع الأمريكي بيت هيغسيث الكلمة الفصل في السماح باستخدام صواريخ ATACMS، التي يبلغ مداها نحو 190 ميلاً، لضرب روسيا.
من جانبها، قالت المتحدثة باسم البيت الأبيض كارولين ليفيت إن الرئيس دونالد ترمب كان واضحاً بأن «الحرب في أوكرانيا يجب أن تنتهي»، مضيفة: «لا يوجد تغيير في الوضع العسكري بين روسيا وأوكرانيا في الوقت الحالي».
وأنهت «آلية المراجعة» عملياً القرار الذي اتخذه الرئيس السابق جو بايدن في سنته الأخيرة بالبيت الأبيض، الذي سمح لأوكرانيا باستخدام ATACMS داخل روسيا.
ميدانياً، أعلن مسؤولون روس، اليوم (الأحد)، أن هجمات أوكرانية بطائرات مسيرة على عدد من منشآت الطاقة الروسية أدت إلى خفض الطاقة في محطة «كورسك» للطاقة النووية، وأشعلت النيران في محطة لتصدير الوقود في ميناء «أوست لوجا».
وأفاد المكتب الصحفي للمحطة النووية بأن «هجوماً أوكرانياً بالمسيرات ألحق أضراراً بمحول كهربائي مساعد، وتسبب في انخفاض القدرة التشغيلية للوحدة الثالثة بالمحطة بنسبة 50%».
وأكد عدم وقوع إصابات وإخماد حريق ناجم عن الهجوم، موضحاً أن الإشعاع في الموقع والمنطقة المحيطة به «لم يتجاوز المستويات الطبيعية».
بدوره، قال حاكم لينينجراد شمال روسيا ألكسندر دروزدينكو: «إن 10 مسيرات أُسقطت فوق ميناء أوست لوجا في المنطقة، وتسبب الحطام في اندلاع حريق بالمحطة التي تديرها شركة نوفاك، وهي محطة ضخمة لتصدير الوقود، ومجمع معالجة على بحر البلطيق».
فيما أفادت وزارة الدفاع الروسية بأن وحداتها دمرت 95 طائرة مسيرة أوكرانية خلال الليل في 13 منطقة، بما في ذلك لينينجراد وسامارا، إضافة إلى شبه جزيرة القرم. وقالت هيئة الطيران المدني الروسية إن الرحلات الجوية توقفت لساعات في عدة مطارات روسية خلال الليل، بما في ذلك مطار «بولكوفو» في منطقة لينينجراد.

The Wall Street Journal revealed that the U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) has imposed restrictions on Ukraine regarding the use of American long-range missiles to strike targets inside Russia.
It quoted officials as saying, "The approval mechanism within the Pentagon has prevented Ukraine from launching any of the U.S. long-range ATACMS missiles against targets in Russia since late last spring." Two officials disclosed that Kyiv had requested at least once to use these missiles against a target within Russian territory, but its request was denied.
The "review mechanism" for deciding on Kyiv's requests to use long-range weapons gives U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth the final say on allowing the use of ATACMS missiles, which have a range of about 190 miles, to strike Russia.
For her part, White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt stated that President Donald Trump was clear that "the war in Ukraine must end," adding, "There is no change in the military situation between Russia and Ukraine at this time."
The "review mechanism" effectively overturned the decision made by former President Joe Biden in his last year in the White House, which allowed Ukraine to use ATACMS within Russia.
On the ground, Russian officials announced today (Sunday) that Ukrainian drone attacks on several Russian energy facilities led to a reduction in power at the "Kursk" nuclear power plant and ignited a fire at a fuel export terminal in the "Ust Luga" port.
The press office of the nuclear plant reported that "a Ukrainian drone attack caused damage to an auxiliary transformer and resulted in a 50% reduction in the operational capacity of the third unit of the plant."
It confirmed that there were no injuries and that the fire caused by the attack was extinguished, explaining that radiation at the site and in the surrounding area "did not exceed normal levels."
For his part, the governor of Leningrad in northern Russia, Alexander Drozdenko, stated: "Ten drones were shot down over the Ust Luga port in the region, and the debris caused a fire at the terminal operated by Novatek, which is a large fuel export terminal and processing complex on the Baltic Sea."
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its units destroyed 95 Ukrainian drones overnight in 13 regions, including Leningrad and Samara, as well as the Crimean Peninsula. The Russian Civil Aviation Authority stated that flights were halted for hours at several Russian airports overnight, including "Pulkovo" airport in the Leningrad region.
