رئيس الحكومة اليمنية يعود إلى عدن لمتابعة التطورات الميدانية

The Yemeni Prime Minister, Salem Saleh bin Brek, emphasized the necessity of doubling efforts to activate various state agencies and institutions to carry out their missions and duties in serving citizens, which reflects on improving their daily living standards, meeting their essential needs, and providing basic services, foremost among them electricity and water, reducing the prices of goods and services, and maintaining security, stability, and public tranquility.

During a phone call with the Governor of Lahij, Major General Ahmed Abdullah Al-Turki, he stressed the importance of enhancing and efficiently collecting revenues and committing to depositing them into the government's general account, pointing out the government's support for the local authority's leadership and its plans to implement development projects that serve citizens in priority areas.

The Yemeni Prime Minister, Salem Saleh bin Brek, had been briefed by the Governor of Lahij on the conditions of the citizens and the situation in the governorate regarding service, living, security, and military aspects, as well as the efforts made by the local and executive authority to respond to recent changes, including regulating the prices of goods and services in line with the improvement of the national currency.

Bin Brek listened to the Governor of Lahij during a phone call on Saturday about a report on the overall developments in the governorate, including the developments of the low-pressure system that accompanied heavy rains and flooding in several districts, the efforts made to limit the damage, and the focus on protecting citizens, opening roads, and draining rainwater.

For his part, the Governor of Lahij expressed appreciation for the efforts made by the Prime Minister and the successes achieved by the government and the Central Bank in improving the exchange rate of the national currency and its impact on the living conditions of citizens, noting the ongoing coordination with ministries and relevant authorities to maintain stability, enhance revenues, improve services, address climate changes, and control smuggling operations.

Moreover, the Yemeni Prime Minister had cut short an unofficial visit to the Jordanian capital, Amman, returning today to the temporary capital, Aden, to personally oversee the situation in various Yemeni governorates in light of the developments Yemen is experiencing, the improvements in service and economic conditions, and the need to continue monitoring the reduction of prices for goods that have seen a noticeable improvement in recent days in line with the appreciation of the Yemeni rial, in addition to monitoring the conditions of Yemeni governorates, particularly those facing heavy rains due to the low-pressure system and the readiness to address the consequences resulting from the heavy rains and flooding.
