دخلت الأزمة الأوكرانية مرحلة جديدة من التعقيد، في ظل غياب أي تقدم ملموس نحو مفاوضات سلام مباشرة بين موسكو وكييف. الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب وصف محاولة جمع الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين ونظيره الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي على طاولة واحدة بأنها «أشبه بخلط الزيت بالماء»، في إشارة إلى صعوبة التوصل إلى تفاهمات مشتركة.
موسكو شددت على رفض عقد أي لقاء دون أجندة واضحة ومحددة، بينما اتهمت كييف روسيا بعرقلة أي مسار تفاوضي، مطالبة بفرض عقوبات إضافية إذا لم تُظهر موسكو نية حقيقية لإنهاء الحرب. وفي الوقت نفسه، دعا حلف الناتو إلى تقديم ضمانات أمنية قوية لأوكرانيا، فيما تطالب كييف بتعهدات تعادل المادة الخامسة من ميثاق الحلف.
ورغم تأكيد ترمب أن الأسابيع القادمة ستكون حاسمة لفرص السلام، فإن الشروط الروسية الصارمة ورفض أوكرانيا تقديم تنازلات يجعلان أي مفاوضات مباشرة مؤجلة إلى إشعار آخر، وسط مشهد دولي ضبابي لا يوحي بانفراجة قريبة.
The Ukrainian crisis has entered a new phase of complexity, amid the absence of any tangible progress towards direct peace negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv. U.S. President Donald Trump described the attempt to bring Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky to the same table as "like mixing oil with water," referring to the difficulty of reaching common understandings.
Moscow has emphasized its refusal to hold any meeting without a clear and specific agenda, while Kyiv has accused Russia of obstructing any negotiation path, demanding additional sanctions if Moscow does not show a genuine intention to end the war. At the same time, NATO has called for strong security guarantees for Ukraine, while Kyiv is demanding commitments equivalent to Article 5 of the alliance's charter.
Despite Trump's assertion that the coming weeks will be crucial for peace prospects, the strict Russian conditions and Ukraine's refusal to make concessions make any direct negotiations postponed until further notice, amid a cloudy international scene that does not suggest an imminent breakthrough.
