أعلن مكتب رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو، اليوم (الخميس)، استعادة الإسرائيلي صالح أبو حسين، الذي كان محتجزاً في لبنان منذ نحو سنة، بعد مفاوضات بمساعدة الصليب الأحمر.
ولم يكشف مكتب نتنياهو عن تفاصيل بشأن ملابسات احتجاز أبو حسين، لكن هيئة البث الإسرائيلية نقلت عن مصادر أمنية قولها إنه يجري التحقيق في ملابسات اعتقاله.
وأشارت الهيئة إلى أنه لم يُفرج عن أحد مقابل الإفراج عنه، مبينة أنه جرت مفاوضات في الأشهر الأخيرة بمساعدة الصليب الأحمر، وتم نقل أبو حسين اليوم، إلى إسرائيل عبر معبر رأس الناقورة من قبل السلطات اللبنانية، موضحة أنه وبعد التحقيق معه وإجراء فحص طبي أولي، نُقل أبو حسين من قِبل الجيش الإسرائيلي لإجراء فحوصات شاملة في المستشفى، وبعد ذلك سيلتقي بعائلته.
وكان متحدث باسم الشرطة الإسرائيلية قد أعلن في فبراير الماضي، عن فقدان أبو حسين صالح، من سكان قرية الرمانة شمال الأراضي المحتلة.
وكان الموفد الأمريكي توم براك قد وصل إلى بيروت أمس، وأعلن أن الحكومة اللبنانية أقدمت على الخطوة الأولى فيما يتعلّق بقرار نزع سلاح حزب الله، ويتعين على إسرائيل الآن القيام بخطوة موازية.
The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today (Thursday) the recovery of Israeli citizen Saleh Abu Hussein, who had been held in Lebanon for about a year, following negotiations facilitated by the Red Cross.
Netanyahu's office did not disclose details regarding the circumstances of Abu Hussein's detention, but the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that security sources stated an investigation is underway into the circumstances of his arrest.
The authority indicated that no one was released in exchange for his release, noting that negotiations had taken place in recent months with the help of the Red Cross. Abu Hussein was transferred today to Israel via the Ras Naqoura crossing by Lebanese authorities, explaining that after being interrogated and undergoing an initial medical examination, Abu Hussein was taken by the Israeli army for comprehensive tests at the hospital, after which he will meet with his family.
A spokesperson for the Israeli police announced last February the disappearance of Saleh Abu Hussein, a resident of the village of Rummana in the northern occupied territories.
