وجه رئيس الوزراء اليمني سالم صالح بن بريك اليوم (الثلاثاء) قيادة السلطة المحلية بمحافظة عدن، بسرعة التعامل مع الأضرار الناجمة عن الأمطار الغزيرة التي شهدها عدد من مديريات المحافظة جراء المنخفض الجوي.
وشدد رئيس الوزراء خلال اتصال هاتفي مع وزير الدولة محافظ عدن أحمد حامد لملس على ضرورة رصد الأضرار والتعامل معها وتكثيف الجهود الميدانية ومعالجة الاحتياجات العاجلة أولاً بأول وفي مقدمتها الأضرار البشرية وضمان استمرار الخدمات الأساسية وفتح الطرقات الرئيسية والفرعية وتصريف مياه الأمطار ورفع المخلفات، مؤكداً أهمية تعزيز التنسيق على المستويين المركزي والمحلي، وضرورة الإسناد المجتمعي لهذه الجهود.
وشدد بن بريك على ضرورة التركيز في المقام الأول على حماية المواطنين، واتخاذ أقصى درجات الحيطة والحذر.
وشهدت محافظة عدن أمس سيولاً اجتاحت عدداً من المديريات وتسببت بأضرار كبيرة في الممتلكات بما فيها السيارات والمحلات التجارية والمنازل. وبحسب سكان محليين فإن الأمطار هطلت بكثافة منذ الساعة الثانية والنصف فجراً، وسط تحذيرات من توسع رقعة المنخفض خلال الساعات القادمة ليشمل مناطق أوسع من المحافظة.
وتسببت الأمطار في انقطاع خط الجسر الرابط بين مديريتي خورمكسر والمنصورة نتيجة ارتفاع منسوب المياه.
وأعلنت الخطوط الجوية اليمنية تعذّر هبوط رحلتَي الخطوط الجوية اليمنية القادمتين من القاهرة، وتم تحويل مسارهما إلى جيبوتي.
ولم تقتصر الأمطار على محافظة عدن وحدها، بل أيضاً محافظات أبين ولحج وحضرموت وتعز وصنعاء ومحافظات أخرى.
The Yemeni Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Breik directed today (Tuesday) the local authority leadership in Aden Governorate to quickly address the damage caused by the heavy rains that affected several districts in the governorate due to the weather depression.
During a phone call with the Minister of State and Governor of Aden, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, the Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of assessing the damage and addressing it, intensifying field efforts, and tackling urgent needs promptly, particularly human casualties, ensuring the continuity of essential services, opening main and secondary roads, draining rainwater, and removing debris. He stressed the importance of enhancing coordination at both central and local levels, and the need for community support for these efforts.
Bin Breik emphasized the need to prioritize the protection of citizens and to take all necessary precautions.
Aden Governorate witnessed floods yesterday that swept through several districts, causing significant damage to property, including vehicles, shops, and homes. According to local residents, the rain fell heavily since 2:30 AM, amid warnings of the weather depression expanding in the coming hours to cover wider areas of the governorate.
The rains caused the closure of the bridge linking the districts of Khormaksar and Al-Mansoura due to rising water levels.
The Yemenia Airlines announced that the landing of two flights coming from Cairo was impossible, and their routes were redirected to Djibouti.
The rains were not limited to Aden Governorate alone but also affected the governorates of Abyan, Lahij, Hadramaut, Taiz, Sana'a, and other governorates.
