ألغت وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية أكثر من 6000 تأشيرة طلابية في 2025، وبحسب قناة «فوكس نيوز ديجيتال» الأسباب تعود إلى تجاوز مدة الإقامة القانونية وانتهاك القوانين، بما في ذلك دعم الإرهاب.
ونقلت القناة عن مسؤول كبير بوزارة الخارجية الأمريكية قوله إنه تم إلغاء جميع تأشيرات الطلاب في عهد إدارة ترمب بسبب انتهاك الفرد القانون أو دعمه الإرهاب أثناء وجوده في الولايات المتحدة، مضيفاً: تم إلغاء نحو 4000 تأشيرة بسبب انتهاك هؤلاء الزوار القانون أثناء زيارتهم بلادنا، بما في ذلك الاعتداء، والقيادة تحت تأثير الكحول.
وذكر المسؤول أن الطلاب الذين ألغيت تأشيراتهم بسبب الاعتداء، نحو 800 طالب، وواجهوا الاعتقال أو تهماً ناجمة عنه.
وأشار المسؤول إلى أن من سُحبت تأشيراتهم لدعمهم الإرهاب، ما بين 200 و300 شخص، بعد انخراطهم في أنشطة مثل جمع التبرعات لحركة حماس التي صنفتها وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية منظمة إرهابية.
وأطلقت إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترمب مبادرات متعددة لتعزيز إجراءات الهجرة وإلغاء تأشيرات الطلاب الملتحقين بالمؤسسات الأكاديمية في الولايات المتحدة.
وكان وزير الخارجية ماركو روبيو قد قال في مايو إن الإدارة تراجع وضع تأشيرات الطلاب المشاركين في الاحتجاجات المؤيدة لفلسطين.
The U.S. State Department canceled more than 6,000 student visas in 2025, and according to "Fox News Digital," the reasons are attributed to exceeding the legal duration of stay and violating laws, including supporting terrorism.
The channel quoted a senior official at the U.S. State Department stating that all student visas were canceled during the Trump administration due to individuals violating the law or supporting terrorism while in the United States, adding: About 4,000 visas were canceled because these visitors violated the law during their visit to our country, including assault and driving under the influence of alcohol.
The official mentioned that the students whose visas were canceled due to assault numbered around 800, and they faced arrest or charges resulting from it.
The official pointed out that those whose visas were revoked for supporting terrorism ranged between 200 and 300 individuals, after engaging in activities such as fundraising for Hamas, which the U.S. State Department has designated as a terrorist organization.
The Trump administration launched multiple initiatives to strengthen immigration procedures and revoke the visas of students enrolled in academic institutions in the United States.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated in May that the administration is reviewing the status of student visas for those participating in pro-Palestine protests.
