كشفت الإذاعة الوطنية العامة الأمريكية (NPR)، أمس (السبت)، عثورها قبيل اجتماع الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب ونظيره الروسي فلاديمير بوتين في ولاية ألاسكا، على وثائق تتضمن تفاصيل جديدة وغير معلنة للاجتماع في طابعة أحد الفنادق بالولاية.
وقالت الإذاعة إنها في حوالى الساعة التاسعة بالتوقيت المحلي صباح (الجمعة)، عثرت على أوراق تحمل شعار وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية في فندق بولاية ألاسكا، تتضمن تفاصيل جديدة وغير معلنة سابقاً وربما حساسة عن اجتماع الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب ونظيره الروسي فلاديمير بوتين في القاعدة العسكرية المشتركة إلمندورف ريتشاردسون في أنكوراج، مبينة أن الوثائق مكونة من 8 صفحات، يبدو أن موظفين أمريكيين أعدوها، وتركوها بالخطأ في الفندق.
وأفادت الإذاعة الأمريكية أن الوثائق تحتوي على المواقيت والمواقع الدقيقة للاجتماعات، وكذلك أرقام هواتف موظفين حكوميين أمريكيين، مشيرة إلى أن 3 نزلاء في فندق «كابتن كوك»، وهو فندق من فئة «4 نجوم» يقع على بعد 20 دقيقة من قاعدة إلمندورف، عثروا على الوثائق التي تُركت في إحدى الطابعات العامة بالفندق.
وأفادت الإذاعة بأنها راجعت صوراً للوثائق التي التقطها أحد النزلاء، مبينة أن الصفحة الأولى تتضمن تسلسلاً زمنياً لجدول أعمال الاجتماعات التي عقدت الجمعة، وكذلك أسماء القاعات داخل القاعدة في أنكوراج، كما كشفت عن نية ترمب تقديم هدية بروتوكولية لبوتين، موضحة أنه جاء في الوثيقة: «من الرئيس الأمريكي إلى الرئيس بوتين: تمثال على شكل النسر الأصلع الأمريكي».
وقللت نائبة المتحدثة باسم البيت الأبيض آنا كيلي من أهمية هذه الوثائق، ووصفتها بأنها «قائمة غداء»، مشيرةً إلى أن ترك معلومات عند طابعة عامة لا يُعد خرقاً أمنياً.
وقالت الإذاعة إن الصفحات من الثانية إلى الخامسة للوثائق، تتضمن أسماء وأرقام هواتف 3 موظفين أمريكيين، إضافةً إلى 13 من القادة والمسؤولين الأمريكيين والروس، كما كُتبت في الوثائق كيفية نطق بعض الأسماء الروسية، أما الصفحتان السادسة والسابعة فشملتا كيفية تقديم مأدبة الغداء خلال القمة، ولمن يُقدم، وقائمة طعام، مشيرة إلى أن مأدبة الغداء كانت ستُعقد «تكريماً لفلاديمير بوتين».
وأظهرت الأوراق أيضاً كيفية توزيع المقاعد خلال الغداء، إذ كان من المقرر أن يجلس ترمب أمام بوتين.
The American National Public Radio (NPR) revealed yesterday (Saturday) that it found documents containing new and undisclosed details about the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, shortly before their meeting.
The radio stated that around 9 a.m. local time on Friday, it discovered papers bearing the logo of the U.S. Department of State in a hotel in Alaska, which included new and previously undisclosed, and possibly sensitive, details about the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage. It indicated that the documents consisted of 8 pages, which appeared to have been prepared by American staff and were mistakenly left at the hotel.
The American radio reported that the documents contained the exact timings and locations of the meetings, as well as phone numbers of U.S. government employees, noting that three guests at the "Captain Cook" hotel, a 4-star hotel located 20 minutes from the Elmendorf base, found the documents left in one of the hotel’s public printers.
The radio stated that it reviewed images of the documents taken by one of the guests, indicating that the first page included a timeline of the agenda for the meetings held on Friday, as well as the names of the rooms within the base in Anchorage. It also revealed Trump’s intention to present a ceremonial gift to Putin, clarifying that the document stated: "From the American President to President Putin: a statue in the shape of the American bald eagle."
White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly downplayed the significance of these documents, describing them as a "lunch menu," and pointed out that leaving information at a public printer does not constitute a security breach.
The radio noted that pages two to five of the documents included the names and phone numbers of three American employees, in addition to 13 American and Russian leaders and officials. The documents also included how to pronounce some Russian names. Pages six and seven detailed how the lunch would be presented during the summit, to whom it would be served, and the menu, indicating that the lunch was to be held "in honor of Vladimir Putin."
The papers also showed how seating would be arranged during lunch, with Trump scheduled to sit across from Putin.
